I do not agree if I think about myself. When I am accused of something I can really never do or someone accuses me I am lying, I naturally increase my voice and call the name of people who knows me to defend my position and I really I am not lying in that moment: I am only disperatly trying to make people who does not believe me to understand I am telling the truth. To be accused of something I have never done make me angry and I feel offended.

This was great. Very informative. I wish I had this several years back. Though I learned some of this through trial and error, there were times I had to navigate through the lies so deep I felt as if I was drowning when I was doubting all that was unfolding. If you don't think like a liar and your home base comes from love and healing, its very hard to imagine the effort and intensity one incorporates to protect the source of empowerment he steals to fill his empty vessel. I've been with my narc 20 years, were married. I've been in denial about his NPD for years, I've come to the sad n disgusted realization to myself. and that I'm going on 6 years now with no intimacy. No affection, no communication, no touching, sharing, friendship, no nothing. I say, I have more use for my couch than him. He don't cook, clean f_#*, nor does he do any hobbies, work parent anything productive or positive, he just lays there watching TV. All day like a sausage link. He had good looks, uses that to bait women, he's cheated with about 15 women during our relationship n always when we split apart. It's no wonder he gets another within a week while I'm torn apart trying to figure it out. It's bad enough he's extremly lazy, n a none responsive parent. I'm the rock that holds our family together. The ONLY ONE WHO PUTS AN EFFORT IN EVERY SINGLE THING, I'm tired, wiped out of energy, losing my mind, my pride, my humility, my self esteem, I've had suicide attempts also in the past b4, n he didn't budge to help nor stop me. That's about 4times. Sex maybe 2 times in 6 years, he uses every excuse why he won't perform, but when he gets a chick when we split up, he smashing her daily! I know, I've had him watched, n he confessed. he knows my prime happens once in my lifetime n I've waisted most of it. I want out, I need a divorce, I feel trapped cuz I have no income n nowhere else to go with my daughter. I made this home a home. But since it's under his name, he won't go, he'd rather me go out n figure it out. Im so disappointed in myself I've put so much love, blood, n sweat in our fake image relationship. He won't n will never see nor appreciate whatever I've done. N I e done a hell of a lot, more than the average, I've been to prison for this man! I've done a lot of raising him too. I've done the beyond normal limits, for him to blame, silent treatment me, ignore me, n show no response to me even existing right b4 his eyes as if I'm a ghost n he's never met me. I can't believe it, it's as if I don't even no him when I used to worship the ground he walked on. I see it now, I feel I wasted half my life. I AM AN AUTHENTIC EMPATH, im full of compassion n empathy, I try to save everyone I come across, in every way I can, I'm loaded with too much feelings sometimes, that too, drains me..therefore I never gave up. But now I, n even my children realize, it's time for me to be happy instead of living for someone else's needs, convenience, n happiness, to boost their fake image, it's horrible. I'm pretty hard on myself to see I've been fooled for so long, putting up with the games n mental torture, n ppl think I'm nutts when I describe him cuz he don't make sense. But since I been viewing your videos, u describe him as if u no him personally. As if you are married to him. I'm glad I'm not going crazy, n I'm not the only one. I need a plan to evacuate his dilemma of psychosis. I'm sad I let this go on so long, but thank u for all your advise, it help me at least relate, n think of ways to deal in the meantime. N u have proof for me to show others that this strange behavior n treatments are real. I made the mistake of showing him this, how the scales went even, n how I do n do, n he don't n never has, I didn't no better b4. Now he's against me, but thanks to our videos, My kids won't think I'm nutts now nor the bad guy with his twisted stories..I wish I had help to leave...plz pray for me..thank you

Thank you for the video. I had this gut wrenching feeling that my husband was/is hiding something from me, having an affair to be exact. I approached him about it and his answer was a quick, flat sounding “No”. Didn’t even look at me when he said no, didn’t say anything reassuring, just a “No”. Same. It’s so overwhelming and I’m too embarrassed and ashamed to say anything bc I don’t want him to pull away.... which is stupid bc I don’t nag him or breathe down his neck. I just want a sound mind. Its very challenging to train my mind to overcome mental/emotional flooding. I have been bracing myself for impact while at the same time pushing myself to just let go and focus on Jesus (whom is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow; whom is with me always; and whom comforts and encourages me; and is the only one who cares even when nobody else does). sounds so evil. i learned a long time ago when i was in 2nd grade that telling the truth is just plain simple. even when i messed up admitting it was just great because an honest man has nothing to worry about. i’ve never worried. i do work with a a bunch of liars. they brake something and lie about it. things brake just say so. putting away things that are broke drives me nuts.

Narcissists know that they are lying and would also have adapters and nonverbal cues. If you remember that deception makes them feel so much more clever than you, you can look for hallmarks of arrogance such as duping delight, head lifting and almost looking down their nose at you, and explosive behaviour when you dare question them

one dead giveaway someone is lying is when they have more than one excuse. if it’s a couple paragraphs it’s a lie. if it’s short and sweet it’s the truth. also the truth doesn’t always make sense. lies always make sense cause their lies.

Great analysis. Unfortunately, the truth was always questioned as if I were lying for the simple fact that the truth didn’t always seem convenient. My significant other would always be able to explain why she did certain things and then completely lose me in her dizzying conversation. Rarely would I just get a straight forward answer. Someone who is telling the truth says it simply because they don’t have any cognitive dissonance and subconsciously don’t have a reason to verify what they’re saying.

Chris you are right except for this : 1) never assume it's a lie. Make an educated decision based upon more than 1 signal. 2) don't assume they are going to lie. Watch out for bias and go with an open mind. 3) Short answers without too much details are usually lies. which is the opposite of what you say. The only time what you sajd applies Is when they have had time to think through it and make it credible. That however can't stop you from spotting the lie if you know what to look for. Ask lots of questions.. By the way read Janine book because you cannot cherry pick information and make people liers without knowing what you are taking about.
