Just finished my first week at a mid-cap brokerage, I appreciate your videos. You seem like a awesome guy to work with, keep up the good work! First thing I’m doing next week is getting my LinkedIn set up and start connecting with my prospects

I’m 50% finished with your course on Skool. I’m loving your content. I set up my LLC/EIN, and now waiting on my filing for brokerage. Before starting this I also have a trucking company with 6 trucks, and I got a customer that’s willing to work with me hauling steel rebar, coils, as a new broker. I’m going to be asking questions in the group once I’m all set up! Again thanks for all the information you’re putting out there, it’s really helping out!

These tips are so appreciated!!! I've heard broker's who say work, work, work. However, i find it very taxing as it's easy to get burned out very fast when trying to learn and absorb all of the info. Thank you!

Just watched your first freight broker video and also submitted my email, pretty good information and appreciate this information. I have 5% residuals from anything spent that month from whatever was leftover following the budget. Pretty nice.

Definitely going to be focusing more on #2 and working on my prospecting skills. Taking a no as a follow up not a closed door.

I have been bad with follow-up because I have been focusing on cover loads. the problem with that is that I haven't received any long-term lanes. I have been chasing the spot market.

I live in the spot market I’ll take that over contract every day. Some customers are exclusively spot market. Best strategy is to work the spot market and eventually the longer term lanes will come.

Quick question. So I recently started my freight brokerage and have been thinking about getting an agent onboard with me. How long should I be running for until I get an agent? What do you recommend?
@freightskills
@freightskills 10 ай бұрын
You should check out my video on “first hire as a freight broker” and “fair broker agent splits” You’ll find easily if you search my channel for those titles. There is no wrong time to get an agent if you understand how to manage them/what you are getting yourself into. If your plan is to get agents and run the business passively from that point…that is a big no. But if you know how to manage people, manage your customers, problem solve logistics related issues and have a handle on all the operations in the brokerage. You can bring someone on whenever. Agents will expect you to have your house in order before they want to move in. If that makes sense.

How much is your class to learn more about this? I broker jobs for Household goods but I would like to learn more about this.
@freightskills
@freightskills 9 ай бұрын
I actually don’t touch household goods. That’s going from the b2b side to serving consumers direct. I know how to move the stuff but marketing it is more difficult so it’s not something I teach. Do you have a background in household goods?
