No doubt the best self filmed hunting channels out there. The camera views and editing keep it interesting, never boring. The only thing that might be helpful is adding yardage. Like the deer that was walking away after the shot, looked 20 or 30 yds, but the camera zoomed was probably 50yds. But the doe you dusted was obviously 10 or less! Love watching doe hunts, they can be more challenging than a buck!

Way to go great hunt! Thanks for sharing. In the video you mentioned figuring out a way to climb that huge ash tree. Obviously you got into it and we’re successful. In the future you could check out the JRB climbing method. Lots of info on saddle hunter forum and also KZbin. It’s a very simple method of rope climbing that works great to get into huge trees like that. I thought rope climbing was crazy at first but then I tried it and killed a nice buck this year out of a giant red oak tree that I could have never imagined getting into before. Also it is super safe. Good luck out there Catman, love the channel, thanks for everything you do!

Round here in eastern NC it's harder to kill a doe than a 3 year buck all I've got on my corn is young bucks . Also I got the Rocky mountain 1 3/4 inch cut warhead's bro they are cheaper than the swacker and there not 2 inch cut but they do that job I've shot one this year double lung 15 yards she tuck off in a full run but didn't make it but 30 yards . I was impressed with them . Way to get it done Catman👍

Perfect day (weather wise) for hunting here in Mo today, went out this morning took a shoot at a nice 8 pointer, 10 yards. Some how he was able to dip the arrow and I hit him (we was quartered to me) far back in the back at 45 degree angle....he ran off w/ my arrow in his guts, stinking up from his back ...sighhhhh...I'm going to give him 6 hrs before I go look. You would think a deer that close would be a sure thing...Amazing job Catman !!!

That's a perfect shot! That'll be some great eating there. I like to tuck their front legs up under the chin in the strap, I think it helps them drag a little easier, keeps the body more streamline and the legs aren't catching on trees and other obstacles.

Cover behind or beside me is pretty important, climb however high I need to, depending on available cover and open shot opportunities

Yes go for the longbow it will be the most gradaforcasion that you can have in bow hunting I started out doing that and then when't to compound but now I am going back to hunting with a long bow for I like it better than with a compound any day of the week
