Had Ford v10’s in our last 2 Born Free’s. Never any issues. Then Ford discontinued using that engine and replaced it with the new 7.3 v8. The 7.3 is what came with our new 27’ Coach House. What a positive difference. The 7.3 is quieter, has more torque, more horsepower, and gets more mpg than the v10. So happy with the new Ford 7.3. Thanks for talking about cold weather camping. As working Minnesotans who travel with our young daughters we often are on the go in the winter. We've had to add lots of heat tape and insulation to our jayco precept Prestige to make it cold weather capable. Nice to hear that Newmar is a true 4 season coach!

We love our 2020 Newmar 3124 Baystar! We haven’t been traveling as much as you but have had no issues except the awning motor. Husband retires in February 2025 so we will be hitting the road a lot more! He doesn’t know it yet but I think with a longer Rv! Love all the space you have.

Interesting to see how Newmar set up your coach. We have a gas Tiffin with the same v10 Ford chassis. Our HWH levelers are in the second bay on the divers side where it is much dryer. Our water heater is mounted higher, above the bays, propane is at the passenger rear behind the rear tires in a bay. Our house batteries are under the steps, I would prefer they are in a bay like yours. Ours is a bath and a half floorpan, so that also impacts where they put things. Keep up the great videos.

Great video. I would enjoy information on the lithium battery coversion. Our present coach is a 2014 Tiffin Allegro Open Road RED. Other than some issues with the HWH hydraulic system it has been great. Newmar and Tiffin are both tops in Class A motorhomes. Really enjoy your videos.

We have a 2018 Bay Star. Love, Love, Love it. I'm looking at building a cover for the jacks. Already replaced up/down valve. Only real Newmar concern is the passenger side lower section of the front cap. The separation is 20" long. Will need to take Lucille (our coach) to a RV body shop to get repaired

A twist on yatzee. We play 5 games at a time and use 6 dice. Leads to more yatzees and higher scoring which seems more fun after playing for more than 30 years. It takes about 1 1/2 hours for 4 people. Add about 20 to 30 minutes more per person added past 4 people.

Great video, MJ, Izzy and Jason! You guys are spot on with your presentations, always enjoy what you do! You've made many worthwhile upgrades. A little surprised that you both rated Nellie as high as you did, I have to confess a break down on the side of a busy highway would leave me exasperated! But Izzy, you are so capable, and you both just seem to be so calm (with a dose of humor added) in the middle of a crises! Once again, in the RV life it helps to be able to diagnose and fix somethings by yourself or have very deep pockets. Having previously owned a not so well-built coach as a reference point, agree with you about the solid build quality of Newmar coaches.

Overall Newmar build has been excellent. The highway breakdown was a $45 Ford part and we have been good ever since.

Love the colors on your RV and that you pull a Mustang, I’ve had my 2018 Thor Venesian 40a since 2020, I purchased it with 5,000 miles and it has almost 40,000 miles now, we really love it compared to the 2018 Freedom Elite 32e that I purchased new. I have the same refrigerator in my Venesian and it’s been flawless so far, thanks for the great info on your channels, keep up the good work.

We have a 2019 Canyon Star that we bought last year. After seeing your video of the jack issues I used a plastic battery box to enclose our jack solenoids. Hopefully this prevents an issue. I also noticed you removed the Micro Air thermostat and went back to the Dometic. Any reason why?

Great video... Sorry you had all those expenses, but I guess a part of it was covered by the warranty plan that you bought... I have a suggestion... I would like to see you guys expand the scope of your channel. RV reviews are great, but how about doing safety training videos from a Police Officer's perspective ? Self defense class on KZbin from Izzy... Maybe you can even do more firearms reviews and reccomendations for citizens who want to carry for self -- defense. Maybe do reviews of solar generators like Bluetti or Jackary. Just a thought

I’ve found the same to be true with my 05 Foretravel all of my issues have been none Foretravel issues mostly wear and tear related. What was the cost difference with the toyos I’m replacing my tires this season and since I have a tag and 8 tires saving money is something I am very interested in. I’ve read good reviews on the Toyo quality. Any feedback back is appreciated

Thanks for the video. Newmar could be great if they fixed a few things and demanded better from their suppliers but it seems as though they rely on looks instead of quality. We like ours for the comfort when it's parked. We can't afford Liquid Springs and it's terrible to drive. Front cap issues at 23 and 33 months (leaks). Air conditioner died at 26 months. Door post and latch needs a redesign squeak issues due to sharp corner on post. Cheap roof vents crumble if you try to remove the "removable" screen for cleaning. 3/4" open air gap to engine bay at front edge of doghouse should have a seal. Impossible to stop water lines from leaking at input and output of water heater probably because they are suspended in midair and not attached to anything. Can see daylight under the slides when they are out negating cold weather insulation. Thermopane windows delaminating (3 of 11). Leveling jack system manifold cracked due to overtightening according to dealer who replaced it under warranty. Construction debris behind cabinets and appliances. Have a jar of spare screws, and caps I swept up. Buttonhead screws scraping at top of exterior door frame replaced with flathead screws. Spring loaded toilet pedal detent shattered first time somebody's foot slipped off pedal. Black sewer pipe mislocated to hole in floor of water bay causing the sewer hose to have an odd kink in it. Dicor cracked and split all around shower skylight on roof as delivered new. Newmar just needs to listen to consumers and put more emphasis on quality assurance issues with things you and I have described to really be considered great instead of good enough. I would rate them a C, average.

As far as tires, you will never see Toyo's on a Newell, Prevost or Foretravel. Why! Quality! I have been motorhoming since 1986, never had anything but Michelin's. Those three have been the best and will continue. I have had Foretravel's since 1989.

Toyos are excellent tires. They were OEM tires on my RAM truck and proved to be excellent tires. Also made in Japan where quality production is usually put above everything else.

Not sure why you changed your tires at 5 years. Michelin warranties their tires for 7 years from date of motorhome purchase, not date on tire. And can continue use for up to 10 years from DOT date if inspected yearly by a tire shop.
