Current Run: Northern Raiders (start with: 3 decently equipped lvl 3 barbarians, a lvl 1 monk, a dog, some treasure + food, and you have an increased chance of finding recruitable berserkers + barbarians + killers + assassins, a higher chance to loot items from the battlefield!!, have at least 1-2 factions that hates you completely, and can hire outlaws cheaper but everyone else is more expensive)
Seed = RCHCZFZJFA (with water/mass ratio at 40)(5 factions & 40 settlements)
Legends Mod for Battle Brothers is the largest expansion-type mod available to the game. It contains plenty of new enemies, brothers, perks, magic, origins, etc. You can even play as the skeletons, a necromancer or even a druid, amongst many other starts. The sub-mods; World Economy, Layered Armour, Battle Sisters and Dynamic Perks add a lot of variety to the game (World-wide Magic and Theriantrophy are still a work in progress and hopefully will return in the future).

"A monk that doesn't do much" That's 90% of monks. They are stuck being go to banner men and backgrounds you get one of for events. Mix that with mid stats and having a monk is never a bad thing.

Just found your channel. Interested in seeing how dangerous legendary setting is since I've yet to tackle it. I agree its a shame that magic has been disabled, though you can still get the Vala encounter when you meet its requirements. I would believe that Vala would mesh well with your band in the future. As for the sash, there is a known bug that causes you not to lose a fatigue point when equipping it, so why not use it as long as you have a slot for it? With the potential extra equipment that might drop for you, 3 additional inventory slots may prove useful. Looking forward to your next episode. I'm sure its going to be a bloody one.

Love legends and this series, but I’m still fairly new to the game with around 20 hours! You talking about what perks go with what is super fascinating, but I’m too inexperienced to understand what perks and attributes go with what type of build. I'm having to put my but into gear and produce some guide videos (it's on my to-do list and I should be able to get some done soon) With regards to stats and backgrounds, I have a personal spreadsheet that can assist with the numbers, but not many guides about perks and such just yet. Bellow i've explained some things from the legends code of the Northen Raiders scenario. If you don't want to read about the behind the scenes for whatever reason then ignore. From what i've seen in the code, its not that you can't recruit noble backgrounds, is that you have to pay for recruitment and wage 50% more for non outlaws, while you have a 10% discount for all costs for outlaw backgrounds. From the background perspective you are a mercenary company that was once a raiding party. So you are been discriminated for your past actions from non outlaws and respected by the outlaws.

Ahh, the northern raiders start means you gotta run from day 1. Definitely not safe at the start where you spawn as 1-2 factions will hate your guts and try to kill you on sight :S

That is a good question indeed, thanks! I do need to update my builds and maybe doing some seasonal builds might be nice (i'll have to do something, but sometimes my seasonal builds are a bit wild and unconventional haha) The builds in the spreadsheet, unfortunately, are a little outdated because of the nerfs to clarity but if you ignore clarity, the builds still generally work and the stats are still in the same range you want to aim for. Most perks still do their job and are essential. Hope this helps :)

I am just starting to play legends, so I will try some good and basic builds for now to get a general flow of the changes in legends. But eventually I will experiment in future runs and hope to find some inspiration.

i know this series has been over for a year but I just wanted to say You naming their nicknames as what they are going to be makes a lot of sense, but it sorta detracts from the roleplay aspect for me. As in, it makes me not want to get attached to any of the characters I already forgot who the original of 3 friends was who died.

Totally understandable from an RP aspect. But in order for me to keep track of my builds it saves time and effort. I enjoy the building-of-bros side of gameplay and improving upon it. Nowadays we have a perk-planner mod so naming isn't as important, which makes RP naming easier :)
