he seems to have the shutter set to manual, AP on manual and ISO set on auto most of the time

@@NickzAndMikz Yeah, that is what I originally meant to say. He has aperture priority with manually set shutter speed. You should always have it set to aperture imo as well cause you never know when some excellent scene might come by.

After watching your video trying the 14, 35, and 85mm I tried it myself. You were absolutely right! The 14 is so tough to get good composition. But it looks like you're much more comfortable with it on this video! I enjoy your honest reviews, they motivate me to try new lenses and shoot more street photography!

I drove from Charleston, SC to get those same shots. I timed it so I got there around 4 am so i could get everything light up and catch the sunrise. Tudor City Bridge was the main shot I wanted, and it turned out good, Grand Central / Pershing Square didnt turn out so well, I drove like 22 hours almost straight for 1 keeper.

C’est marrant, plein de photos me paraissent banales à souhait avec l’ultra grand angle, par contre dès que tu passes au 70-200mm, là ça raconte quelque chose ! C’est fou comment je m’y retrouve carrément plus avec les optiques téléphotos

Me suis dis la même chose. Le 14mm n'est vraiment pas pour moi, j'ai l'impression de voir des photos faites aux smartphones que tout le monde post et qui n'ont aucun intérêt (pour moi hein) et des qu'on passe sur du 70-200 la on commence à des intentions et des situations qui se dégagent. Pour moi Pierre est beaucoup plus doué avec ce matériel ou au moins ses 35mm et 50mm

@@ezekiel6729 Je suis totalement d’accord avec toi. On dirait effectivement des photos prises au smartphone par n’importe qui … L’ultra grand angle peut avoir un intérêt sur certaines photos (ex : Quand il lève son objectif et photographie les 2 façades d’un building qui se font face, là je trouve que c’est artistique) mais dès qu’il s’agit de prendre une photo à hauteur d’homme, ça ne le fait pas du tout. Pour moi l’ultra grand angle, c’est nécessaire pour de la photo immobilière / en paysage, mais absolument pas en street photographie. Tu englobes trop d’éléments parasites dans une scène de rue, tu ne sais absolument pas quoi regarder. C’est vraiment pas fou. Ou alors ça peut avoir un intérêt artistique mais il faut absolument réfléchir à la composition, à la scène … Or Pierre shoote tous les 20m… (je ne lui jette pas la pierre ^^, c’est ce que font tous les adeptes du genre de la street photo). J’ai du mal avec cette idée que l’on puisse prendre tout et n’importe quoi sur le moment et l’on verra bien si ça fait une bonne photo …

Pareil pour moi. Mais en vrai, je n'ai pas vu l'intérêt pour la plupart des photos dans cette vidéo. La composition des scènes est plutôt faible à mon avis, et c'est vrai que c'est encore plus clair avec l'ultra grand angle où le sujet semble vraiment secondaire par rapport à la perspective. Mais ça me semble aussi plutôt ennuyeux.

Gotta try wandering in smaller towns, villages and such. It's 2022 already and all we see from ages is Chicago, New York etc. al lthe same stuff everytime with pretty much the same compositions as these streets look the SAME. Lawd, I'm so glad to be born in Europe but sadly the times got fucked up to travel around it as it should :D
