Re: NA beers, I think it's important to stress that it's impossible to get intoxicated from drinking 0.5% beers, and that amount of alcohol can also be found in something like eating a ripe banana.

If I knew about the alcohol content in bananas when I was a teen, I could see me and my friends trying to get wasted from eating a whole box of them.😂

Yeah, I think the consequences are more psychological for some people, the taste can be too much of a trigger. I’m on antabuse and can’t even swish mouthwash, so NA beers are out for a different reason for me.

I love the positive energy your channel is keeping up, thank you so much! I mindfully opt for Non-Alcoholic beers at times when I'm with friends and when having another coffee becomes too much; also instead of soft drinks that, I believe, affect the health worse with their loads of sugar than a small "0.0" with a tiny bit of alcohol.

I can speak from personal experience about getting a DUI when I was under the limit. When the police arrived, I had two flat tires from running over something in the road and being stuck on train tracks. I wasn’t even in my car when I got the DUI - I was standing outside, waiting for a tow truck. They asked if I had been drinking, and I admitted to it, and I blew a .07 and still got a DUI and ended up in jail. This was in Iowa. I was able to fight the case and I don’t have a conviction on my record, but it took 40 hours of community service and about $6000 to make it go away. Hard lesson learned!

@@GettingSoberAgain and to make another point from your video, I was drinking on an empty stomach and I am 125 pounds, and only had three drinks… You don’t have to get plastered to get a DUI.

Hey, nice to see that you are committed and the channel is growing all the time, started watching like 2 years ago about the time, when started my journey. Wanted to share two things. 1.Just a small critique, maybe it's just me, but i think you talk a little to fast, maybe like 10-20% slower, it feels a bit like you are in a hurry and want to finish the video faster! All love! 2.Been watching a lot of people about this topic and i can't seem to find a lot of information about the journey in the sense of more info about how hard it is to keep not using and when does it get better. I always wanted to hear about what time does it get kind of easier, so i wanted to share my quick experience. So i started the journey in summer of 2022, there were a lot of hick-ups, week sober-week drunk, than two weeks, a month etc. Slowly started to get easier, but sooner or later there was a strong urge, that i just couldn't overcome(like biuld up stress etc.) Then i managed to get sober for almost 5 months, and then again the strong urge came back, and i just felt empty inside and there was just no way, that i wouldn''t drink, becouse i didn't do any work on myself and just was a ''dry drunk'', but that''s all the experience when you learn that. After the 5 months i started drinking every day for half a year, but i knew that the next time i must be sober longer and figure out how to overcome this the next time.(You can do a lot, but the longer you are sober, the more you start to clean your mind and face the trauma and the feelings, you have been ignoring and drowning in alcohol, it just all comes up at the same time, it is hard at the time, but after that you are kind of healed, plus eating good and exercise ,i do swiming and sauna in the pool, and making more healthy habits will be a game changer, believe me. So now is the thing that i kind of wanted to say, been sober now for almost a year, and i can say, this time i know i won''t drink, becouse im so used to it and i have other habits formed, so it just kind of doesn't make sense to drink(more money, no hangovers, really be in the moment with the people you care.Soryy, now is the thing i wanted to say- the urges are still there, it happens maybe every 3months, and it is hard at the time, maybe 1-2 weeks, but every time it is easier and easier and i heard that about the 5 year its allready super easy, and i would say, about myself, the game changed at about 8 months, got a lot easier.Didn''t plan to write such a long comment!Hope it gave someone some useful information!

Question Youre sober. But do you use THC. I only ask because I can’t do that because of my job. I started drinking after I had to quit smoking marijuana after 20 years. I would love to smoke weed again but can’t. But now I have to quit drinking. So “sober”. Does that just pertain to alcohol
