Great video, wondering where to buy the striker spacers? My truck is missing them on one side. I was having trouble shutting the door without the spacer, borrowed one and it works perfect. Now just to find one.

Dave my 61s drivers door do not do two clicks. I just installed new lower door guides a few months ago. The drivers door guide still needs some adjustments. But my door does not shut as you demonstrated. Do I need to maybe do some adjustment on my striker? The truck has never been wrecked. It has fairly new weatherstripping. Also I sometimes have to adjust my inside door handle to get the to latch to work?! What do you suppose needs fixed or adjusted with that? Thanks for any help you can give me. Awesome vid too! Yep, you need to adjust the striker as I've shown here.

Hey brothers! I got a power steering gear box leak and its just the rubber that (seals the power steering fluid it) is leaking maybe others have the same problem, I can't find much information... it's a 71 c20

What I want to see is how to adjust door hinges on a 63-66 c10. Replaced the door seal and door didn’t close anymore without bottom rear sticking out. Friend started adjusting hinges and got it all out of wack and can’t find any proper videos on how to make it perfect

Another thing, where did you get the new weatherseals? There are some seals available in the market that are notorious for causing the exact problem that you described. We DO NOT carry those seals at BROTHERS and would suggest a proper set of seals before a re-alignment of the doors.

I'm trying to do mine with the rubber on a new rubber anyway and it won't latch the second click

My biggest problem is the bottom corner of the doors. the latch I can do easy but adjusting the hinges is my problem. I can adjust it to latch but the bottom corners of the doors are sticking out and aren’t flush with the rocker panels. And on the driver side I’m only getting one click

We have a video that covers the alignment of the entire front end sheetmetal of the truck starting with the doors. Hinge adjustment as well as modifications you can make to the metal to help the fit are covered in there. Do a search on our channel for sheetmetal alignment.

Thanks for responding, I did take inner panel off was able to move the latch wheel slightly and got the door open, turns out it was high sided on striker plate, replaced plate and now it opens ok thanks

I put new weatherstripping on my 64 and now I need to really SLAM the doors shut in order for them to get to that second click. I'm assuming the new weatherstripping is a bit thicker than the old original ones that were on there so do I need to readjust the striker? Or will the new ones flatten out and fix themselves? Any advice before I start taking stuff apart??

If you get the doors shut and leave them for a few days the rubber might take the proper shape and the doors will be easier to shut. However, depending on the seals you bought, they may NEVER be easy to close and then you'll need to install a different set of door seals or start adjusting your door. There are some reproduction seals out there that this is a known problem with. Part of the reason we make videos is so that WE can test the products we carry to make sure they work properly and so we can confidently provide customer service to our customers using our parts. Our doors seals don't have the issue you are describing, but we've seen this happen way too often with other suppliers seals.

Where did you buy those seals? There are many different seals available out there, ours don't do what you're describing. That's one of the benefits of installing everything while doing these videos, we get to test it all and pick only the stuff that works. If you got those from us something else is wrong, call the shop and let's see if we can help you sort out what's going on. 800-977-2767
