Paul doesn’t say it here. But I think he would agree with this. Don’t let not being sure of the preposition to use stop you from speaking. One of the most powerful learning strategies is being willing to learn from making mistakes. I have had a lot of success in life, but I learned the most from my mistakes and failures. And not trying is the biggest mistake you can make because it often teaches you too late. You need instant feedback and real time real life experiences. Get in the game. Talk to as many people in Spanish as you can. Try not to pass up an opportunity to have even a ten second conversation. The more you try to speak, the easier speaking gets. That is an undeniable fact of learning any language. And don’t let some knucklehead making a negative comment on your attempt to use your Spanish affect you. Ignore those losers. No te rindas y buena suerte.

Paul, a great list of 50 verbs for everyone to write down and learn, whether or not we retain the correct prepositions. I think chunking verbs to learn en masse seems like insurmountable challenge sometimes and I'm just learning them from songs at the moment, but finding videos with a bunch of verbs from a teacher I find really useful.

I understand se means oneself so here se means they in general right? And if to say you are crazy in general would it be se Estas loca?
@nicolasinvernizzi6140
@nicolasinvernizzi6140 Ай бұрын
"Estas loca" by itself means "you are crazy" (feminine form). the plural/they would be "estan locas". Se is not used this way with Estar. you can use it to say something is an ongoing process like, "they are going crazy" or "they are losing their minds" could be translated as "Se estan volviendo locas/locos". "Volviendo" meaning "turning/going" in this case.

That's one of the great things about speaking Spanish well enough. You can communicate your lack of tolerance for tardiness in work-related relationships and act accordingly. I've only found a few people who disregarded an established schedule and they "paid" for it with a loss of a job. "Tuve muy claro que no tolero las tardanzas"

There is a region in Bolivia where the rr is pronounced a lot like the s in pleasure. It’s the Cochabamba accent. Carlos Sánchez Berzain is a former minister with several videos on KZbin. Listen to him. His accent is interesting.
