Your splitter is pretty impressive. Love the air cylinder idea on the bottom as well. I've built 2 splitters over the years, one with a log lift, one without. My log lift moved VERY FAST, and I just learned to move the lever slow or I'd be wearing the wood on my head. Years ago my dad picked up a 69 chevy half ton for little to nothing, pulled the box and put on a saw rig and log splitter combination. What made me think of it is how you lower your rack down with the cylinder. He had his splitter in the vertical while driving the truck, and the splitter was pivoting off a 2 inch huge pin, which he would drop the splitter to the ground, then when bringing it up, he had a tire rim as a chain pulley, and he would hook it up to the hook near the ram, and it would lift the splitter up. The engine was an old john deere combine engine. And he had this long lever that would switch the pto between the splitter and the saw rig. Now I own a place that has a pretty sweet wood burner in the house, and I need to build or buy a splitter. Good times! Thanks for taking the time to make this video! Don't pay any attention to the haters! I know, easier said than done. I usually just tell em, "I wish I was perfect like you." LOL. Take care!

DANG! Heck of a job! That machine is a all in one! Love the design! I've been thinking on how to have a water jug with me while processing wood! Like the idea of it being with splitter!

Very slow for a very impressive looking splitter & no 4,6,8,12 way wedge? I would think at 50 T that would be able to handle that to speed up production but nonetheless very nice unit you have there.

This is pretty awesome. Nice work. Just come across you now. You should have a lot more views than this!! I gotta do some investigating on this

place the discharge end of splitter right NEXT to rack, eliminate the back and forth walking

Very well built machine. I understand that you need the power to split the nasty live oak. Design the hydraulic circuit to use only one cylinder. If needed have a second circuit to operate both. That way you get cycle time speed most all your splitting needs and the mega power when needed.

Look & build are very impressive. However... When you look at the 4 second cycle time through a 4way (or more) wedge of the Eastonmade you realize how important engineering is before the build. Did you guess when bringing engine, pump & cylinder together? The hesitation in first big log tells me something was mis calculated???

NICE SPLITTER !

Overall impressive however, in my humble opinion it needs a larger engine and pump as it's way to slow for me but ya, I do like it.

I couldn’t build something that impressive if my life depended on it.

OK I guess, it needs a bigger pump, and turn up the engine rpm a little, only running around 2800 rpm .

Not wanting to rain on your parade ground ..however the first medium log put up a hell of a fight ...a fifty ton ram with the right engine and pump would have smashed it in my experience. Just saying.
