These dudes get so in their own heads by turning their relationships into a game where you’re trying to out-strategize your partner to get what you want. They’ve amputated their ability to communicate with their partners because whatever she tells him, he’s going to treat it like some cryptic signal.

What annoys me the most is that the Rich guy told him to just communicate what he wants from the girl and the relationship. But...that's exactly what she did??? She said she didn't want to kiss yet, but wanted to see him again and they're acting as if that is bad. like, c'mon.

that nick guy used the terms "lovebombing" and "swooped me out of the cradle" about a relationship he had when he was 17 and the woman was 22, lovebombing is an extremely common tool for abusers and groomers and he was a minor, it makes it sound like there could have been grooming or abuse involved. :/ i think he is genuinely trying to get some help, but i wish he would go to therapy rather than pay $500 to talk to this dude with no qualification. like honestly i wish all these guys, including rich, would go see a fucking therapist. like sweet mother of god, there are professionals who were literally trained to help you with your relationship issues and whatever problems you have with finding love and human connection, just for the love of god will someone get all of these guys to a therapist.

It's so mind boggling to me how some people just actively think like this, and it's genuinely really depressing how blindsided they seem to be to how much better things could be if they just changed their perspective. Yeah, it sucks that somebody likely hurt them by leaving and prompted them to feel so replaceable, but you have to let yourself heal from that dark way of looking at things or else you'll just get stuck in it and stay miserable. "Everybody's replaceable" yeah, sure, but that's not the point. Why not allow yourself to believe that someone may not want to replace you? Thinking like that is so unnecessarily destructive to everyone they interact with, not to mention themselves.

When a guy goes "I set up a date" or "we went on a date", you need to find out exactly what their definition of 'date' is. I once sat in a café with a co-worker, going through meeting notes - he then told everyone we were dating. The fact that we would frequently do this with our boss, our other team members...? Nope, didn't matter. He was apparently very upset when he found out I'd moved to another city where my long-term partner was. I say 'apparently', because we never talked. I did not know him in a social context at all. This dude probably offered to mow the lawn she was on. That was the date.

The WORST thing I hate about 'alpha' and pick up artistry, is that no matter what, in their eyes, ALL of the behavior of a woman, is about them. She ignores you, playing hard to get. She's out with friends, trying to make you jealous. Home alone? Trying to pretend she's not thinking of you. In all the videos I've seen they always say that everything a woman does is about that specific man, and not that she is her own person.

@@RR-et6zp Dude whatever. Evolutionary biology or not, we have societal norms too and that's basically said we want men who'll help us pick up the slack in the house and we want to help with the DIY projects. Equal just means we don't have to do things separately and assume those positions are what you're going to do going into the relationship. The fact people fight against that like a fish in a fisher's hands when they can see the knife coming to gut is kinda bullshit too.

@@RR-et6zp Well KR... I don't know if you're speaking from a purely biological perspective, I'm assuming you are. But frankly if a woman is looking to begin a family with someone, and that's the end goal of biology, I'm going to take a leap of faith and say she's also looking for someone who is affectionate, to her and others. Family oriented, again if you're looking to start a family, should be a shared goal on the part of both partners, and if not to start your own family, then a shared perspective on your own families is a really really good thing to have. Fit... I mean, are we speaking subject to subject?? Because at that point it seems like all of these are pretty arbitrary, and if you'd like to narrow a woman's views down to biology as well, the theoretical woman you're talking about would also require someone fit to produce a better offspring. A man should also look for a woman who is hoping for a future apart from her partner, and a confident woman who can command a room is incredibly attractive and if you'd like to dispute that I'll direct you to dominatrix who are paid to be a confident woman able to weild commands. I want to bring that up because we're both speaking from our sexes perspectives. I want to hear what you've got to say. But to be fair to us both; These "biological rules" really can be applied to all humans. We all want these things despite the gender. We all want someone who is affectionate towards us and to find someone you can call your partner and a lifelong friend, if you want a family you'll look for someone family oriented, if you're a person who is career oriented you probably want someone that can be a strong leader. The world is fucking nuts, and I think bearing our teeth and going for the neck of every person we disagree with is probably how we got here. I can appreciate talking with the agreement we don't see eye to eye but we'll try to respect one another.

@@wastedproductions45 5 years is a big difference before the brain is fully developed. Teens-young 20s are a time of life that's full of massive changes, so each year is a pretty big leap from the last. I think it's pretty clear that a 22 year old has far more life experience than a 17 year old. A 22 year old can drink, go to clubs, and is considered an adult by society. A 17 year old is likely still in high school. It's weird.
