Uncle Larry breathes some new life into an exhausted old 69 custom.
I have had lots of inquiries about the "pile of plexi"...i'm going to start off by trying to sell the entire collection at once...35K for all 7 pieces. if you study the market on plexi's with original transformers you will clearly see that is a very fair price. I know that people who are card carrying members of the old marshall cult like to buy things in collections so i am starting there. local pickup only of course...no shipping. i would also consider a trade for a dead original slab board 59 or 60 two tone tele custom...and of course any no excuses pre 1965 es-335

Hey Larry, just what in your opinion has to take place in music to make it edgy and dangerous again?!? Drugs, satanism, murder, mental instability, even genre crossing, have already been done. What will be the next thing?

Wow, that is a tough one I guess. Those things have kidnapped the whole industry and seems to have us all by the ballz nowadays, so yes, that would be major step outside the system. BTW, want to thank you for a brilliant show. And just for the sake of it: YESSONGS is the best live album ever released! Which live album is your no1?

Hey Tom, so I just stumbled into the past and landed on Homeskoolin’ Volume 11. What a blast! “The Power of the 5 Minor.” First of all, what a refreshing refresher (is that redundant?). You took us back to your garage where we first met in class, and despite moving to the kitchen, you have kept that down to earthy persona that I still love and enjoy! Just wanted to say thanks for still doing this and thanks for keeping this down to earth and practical for the rest of us mere mortals. And thanks for greatly improving my wardrobe! I get comments on my Homeskoolin’ sports wear and I always take a minute to tell those that ask, about your channel. I hope it helps them and helps you grow your channel. You are a sweet, kind force of nature! 🎶 Peace.

Hey, Uncle Larry, these "shop talks" may be one of my favorite episodes. It is so cool to just hang in the shop with you. So much here i would love to say, but i know it would be too much....AI, oh god, save us is all i can say. Where do all the crap guitars go? back of closets, attics....it would make a great remake of Hitchcocks "The Birds". I can see it now, all these crap guitars gathering and hovering waiting to unleash their wrath....All that sillyness aside, beyond your musical genious, your honest, real, genuine giving of your insights, knowledge and just yourself to a virtual family is a gift that should never be taken for granted....best gifts are hidden in that .028%.

I love just shooting the breeze around the work bench. 8) I was 72 years old last Thursday. It's funny all the stuff we pick up over the years. I can really relate to a lot of things Uncle L is talking about. Very often people don't cut nuts properly! That screws everything up! I usually cut a new one from a bone blank. Back cut it the way I like it, and make it all rounded and polished. People appreciate that, and the guitar plays much better/in tune! If you change strings a lot, and use the same ones, I buy them by the box. I use D'Addario 9-42 XL's, and buy the 25 set box for about $80, $3.20/set. They do all sizes and most kinds of D'Addario. The bigger on-line retailers have them, Guitar Center, Sweetwater I think etc. Raining hard here in W-NY! Peace --gary

Hey Uncle Larry, thanks for all of your words of wisdom! Maybe an accompanying video can be one where you take a guitar or 2 down to Glaser’s or Gruhn’s and have the luthiers translate what you feel into specs…. See what if any variances there are between different neck profiles, bridges etc. This would take what you call feel and translate it into something tangible we can then attempt to experience for ourselves…. Lots of ❤… (not in a weird way) enjoy your boys… I have 2 also + a girl… man boys are so much easier… count your blessings.🤘 see you on your next video.
