The Caboose is still used by some Railroads when Local Switching is taking place so that the Conductor doesn’t have to hang off last Car for an extended period of time and/or a large number of miles.

When you mentioned a cab over that brought me back to my first driving job. 1981 COE Freightshaker with a 300 HP a Cummins and 7 speed Spicer trans with no Jake brake pulling a flatbed East trailer. Pulling 48-49 thousand across West Virginia or anywhere else was no picnic. My last was a W900 with a 12 speed auto. and Jake It was like driving a big old Caddie. Like your attitude Dan . Keep on trucking!

Great video. We just got our 2nd shot! Next day mild headache, nausia, and body ache. Next day all was ok. Hope you do well and I’m sure you realize everybody is different. Love the videos and follow several drivers but yours are THE BEST!

had same reaction after my second. only one person out of 15 or so I know didn't have the side effects after the second. Like I say, I guess it's good our immune systems aren't all 100% the same, we'd be doomed.

I was worried about a reaction as I’m on dialysis. No reaction at all. My wife had headache and nausea for about half a day. A guy at my clinic spent a few days in the icu. Everyone is different

The Cabover would be way more manoeuvrable than those long nose jobs. The L10 Cummins was a belter of an engine 290 was great, I had a 290, 325, 350, & 380 - boosted to 420 versions of the L10. The M11 was the start of all the electronic intervention. Great engines.

If the hooks don't fit through holes, you can take the hook off, and then put the chain through the hole, and then put the hook back on. Take another look at the counter weight, and think about it.

I got my second vaccine shot yesterday and I didn't have any side effects none what so ever and I asked the doctor and she said I'm at 65% right now and in two weeks I'll 100% so everything is good and she did say I have to still wear my mask until they say otherwise Dan I didn't think it mattered on how you shifted your truck maybe the only truck I shifted was a 58 Ford grain truck 4 speed 2 speed rear axle I was 21 when I got my C license to drive back my grandfather grain truck stay safe and stay healthy

Close call in the beginning of the video. Keep the film rolling be safe on the road Dan and Bailey.
@dhblan85913 жыл бұрын
Bet that took the bend out of that trailer and I am sure it creaked and groaned quite a bit when the counterweight was settling down on the bed! Pliers would be helpful to remove the cotter pins on your chain hooks so you can fit the chain into those tie-down/lift points. Thanks for the video and for the memories.

Following other truckers that drive for fleet companies. The one thing I noticed is their tractors are in good shape and kept clean, but their flatbed trailers definitely need some tlc from time to time. Puts their drivers in a bad spot at times as the drivers I follow are very conscientious about their tractors. They are definitely not happy about some of the trailers they have to deal with.

I had a seizure when you pulled into Peterbilt Tucson. At our peak, we were buying $20K to $30k a month in parts at then Southwest Peterbilt then Rush Tucson. Had a retired driver sometimes making two runs a day from our shop in Benson to Peterbilt Tucson, then deliver to our Silver City yard. During my summer off from NAU, I would sometimes make those trips. Guess if you have a fleet of 70, you are going to need parts. Welcome back home.

My 1996 international 9200 has an m11 350 they are good little engines and get 7mpg. You won't be the first one to top of the hill but they are work horse dependable engines, plus cheap to work on compared to the bigger engines.
