Ever thought of going off grid for ya power. A lot of farmers here in Australia have either gone fully off grid with Solar/wind power OR are still grid connected but could go off grid Solar/wind power if they want too. The grid connection option is used as a just in case backup power source.

The loader looks awesome on the 5020. We're having the weather you were having a year ago here in Nebraska. It's drier than a popcorn fart! Hope some of that moisture works it's way down here.

We use to have several PTO generators. They got a lot of use in the 1970s and 80s. Then we slowly switched over to propane powered stationary generators. With the confinement buildings you only have a short time without power before ventilation becomes an issue. Here on the main place we have a 50K stationary that automatically comes on whenever we lose power. The lights might be out for 30 seconds before you will here it start and come up to power. Neat thing is how you can program it. I keep it set to not shut off until the line voltage is stable for five minutes. The helps keep thing from getting damaged when the voltage surges when the main power come back on.

That 5020 is a mean looking tractor with the loader on it. Have fun with that. I thought for sure you had a pto driven generator for emergency power. We had one. Saved our butts a couple of times.

Nick I really like Saskatchewan in July and August but I will take , Southern BC weather the rest of the year. Yes we have been having a cool spring so far, but planting this weekend as temps for the next week night time temps are 5 + and days 15 to 20. We can plant most every thing next week but tomatoes. Will have to wait till mid May . Get a proper emergency generator for the farm that you can run of a PTO. You would likely need 25 -30 kw generator to run most every thing, might be a good choice.
