I like that it's more relaxed yet elegant but, other than white or grey I'm not into neutrals. So I think for me, I would add color. I love color next to my face. So maybe white pants with a bright shirt like fuschia, coral, deep blue, purple. or maybe a Breton shirt with white or navy? Jus my opinion. I really enjoy your vieos and finally subbed! I like the Coastal Grandmother style like the Diane Keaton vine. It is sort of a rich Hampton’s look. However, I had a real coastal grandmother. She lived on a maritime fishing island. She raised 11 children in a tiny house. My grandfather was lost at sea. She wore house dresses and aprons and was a bit overweight with bingo wings and the odd chin whisker. She made me Angel food cake with strawberry frosting on my birthdays. I loved her dearly. Most of her kids lived into their 80s and 90’s. She had over 40 grand children. A real treasure.

I’ve been living in the desert in California for many years ,and this is kind of my uniform because of the heat. I wear a lot of linen, and so does my husband. When every Day is over 100° it is the most comfortable thing you can wear.

I think it depends on the brand you choose. Boden are always true to size so you don't need to size up, as are H&M. I like to wear mine roomy though, so, if I'm between sizes, I do take the larger one. It's cooler too! XX

Look to all the paint companies for their colour palettes. Tape it to your wardrobe. Fall is then easy. So is winter. Shop in your wardrobe and reinvent. No different to swopping out your cushions seasonally on your sofa!

Hi Dottie. Firstly, I really don’t think you should think of yourself as having any issues at all with being 5ft with a menopausal belly. The coastal grandmother style is PERFECT for you! It’s all about loose fitting, relaxed fit clothing that disguises any shape issues you may have. Loose linen shirts, loose-fitting trousers are all perfect for you. I really hope this makes you feel more confident as you should xx

what I have seen throughout the theme of CG style is that each look is geared toward the flat stomach. Absolutely none of the looks where the shirt is tucked in, or there is a belt involved, or draw string, will this look the same unless you have a somewhat flat stomach. I have yet to see anyone on KZbin take a heavy woman and put these looks on her. I am working on getting this menopausal belly fat off, but I still had a bloated look sometimes and I am certain that these looks will make it look worse. I tend to wear a tank top, maybe tuck that in, but cover it all up with a big linen button up shirt that's flowy and hides the belly. Got any looks for us grandma's with the pear shape ?
