I have been living in the city after my parents divorce and after living in a house which my mom desperately tries to claim a home I slowly started falling sick. My depression caused me to end everything so many times and now finally I managed to fight against my own demons. I gave up on my degree and one of the bestest job a girl could have at the age of 20 ignoring both my parents words. I moved to the countryside and brought back my childhood house. I no longer her any luxurious furnitures or any other fancy life to brag about but I have finally have found my home. I have finally found my happiness. What makes me feel warm, safe and happy is the little memories I have found in my home which I know that I would never be able make again. Thank you for be an inspiration to my miserable life❤

Wow this is so true! My husband and I moved into our new home, 6 months ago. We went from a small apartment in the city to a big house in the countryside. The first month I was scared of every little sound as well as the utter silence. But soon it all went away and now it feels like home and I love all the nature around me!

I think to feel good in a new home just needs time. My dog needed 2 weeks to go out by herself in the garden of our new home. But most of all, it's just our energy that is making the house into our home. It took us awhile to truly feel like the new house was our house. Maintaining a big house in a rural area is a never ending project: wood hacking and piling, garden work, renovations here and there, .... Creativity never ends. After 4 years of living in our new house, I'm still finding things to change and to renovate. It's fun to see the transformations.

Bathroom is the most important room in the house to me. If there is no bathtub, there is no house for me. I do not understand shower stall houses. If bathroom is miserable, I am miserable. I always work hard on mine and make it look like a high end spa. Family members love to just hang out in my bathroom :) and take baths, too. It is the prettiest room in the house.

My mom taught me to “put the house to bed” each night. I still do this....walking through each room picking up and straightening things. I usually send The Drummer out to take a turn around the house with the dogs. He rolls up a hose or puts away a tool that was left out or a grandchild’s bike. It’s peaceful to go to bed with things in order and good to wake up without yesterday’s mess to see. When I say my prayers before bed I pray for the house and safety. Then I say, “Good night, home.” (I was wondering if you made a cover for the sandbox against cats and such? We always had sandboxes with good lids because cats think it’s just a giant toilet. 😬) Such a charming sandbox design. Thank you for climbing in there to play with your daughter. That was happy to see. A reminder to play with kids. 🤎👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I always wonder why I'm never happy on my birthday. Nothing different than the food available on the table. I feel like I'm missing something, I look everywhere but I don't even know what I'm looking for. Until your light shines on me from behind. I who faced the darkness can now see my own reflection on the ground, I began to understand my form slowly until the ground turned into very clear water. I can see my body clearly there. This year I got out of my laziness and started following you. I started cleaning the house according to your directions, my mother never taught me this, so it's really worth it. I started cooking your recipe and felt that failure is a unique thing that brings pleasure. Started to love herbal teas that felt strange the first time I tried them but eventually became addicted. I bought the books I wanted, read blogs on the internet, studied parenting, health, hygiene, everything. I started taking care of myself and the environment, I am happy to be able to grow with plants every day. Take a walk in the morning, write a journal in the evening. Make DIY shelves and cleaning fluid myself. You really helped me to recover from the trauma I went through. So your presence is like an angel to me, I really need a mother figure from you. When you made a video about reasons to stay alive, actually two months earlier I almost killed myself. Anyway. It was the most horrible day of my life. So I want to thank you, for everything. I want to appreciate everything by living well. I am very very very grateful for your kindness, your words really touch me. May you always be healthy and happy. ❤
