It's amazing how simple they made stuff back in the day. Good job!

It sure is. I was worried about the column. I had a bad experience with the 72 Camaro tilt column, bought another one for parts, turned out to be junk, and sent it out to be rebuilt to a pro and he ended up having to get a donor for other parts needed. lol

Sounds like stuff that would happen to me ;)

It’s not the natural flow of things but i caught your video putting all this back together and now I get to see how it comes apart. I’m sure when I swap columns on my ‘55 the one going in the car will need rebuilt top to bottom. Good job, nice video (nice car, too!)

Loosing footage happens to everyone eventually I think. You explained it really well so I don't believe anyone will be missing anything by not seeing it. While I would love to work on that 55 I would be so tense afraid of scratching it or who knows what.
@DoubleRRestorations8 жыл бұрын
Yes indeed. I was very afraid of scratching this car. lol

Thanks Ed. I haven't installed one. I mainly work on 70-81 Camaros. I took this 55 in as a side project for the wiring, helping out a good friend of mine.

I can see how forgetting to tie the string on could cause a bad day. I see you tied it to itself just in case.
@DoubleRRestorations8 жыл бұрын
Yes, All I need was my daughter coming in and saying whats this for while pulling the string. lol

any footage on taking off old column tube from outside firewall and under dash?
@DoubleRRestorations8 жыл бұрын
I didn't have to go into it that deep, just mainly inside the car at the wheel.
