It is interesting that you got 1/3 fewer items at Sushi Ya and it was 1/3 more expensive. Your captions seemed to indicate you liked Sushi Ya more. Was it due to the quality of the ingredients, the demeanor of the chef, the ambience of the environment, or the engagement with other diners?

We really enjoyed both restaurants and wouldn’t hesitate to go back to either one, but would go to Manten Sushi if we were in the mood for a more casual experience, and Sushi Ya for a more quiet and intimate environment. We liked everything we ate at Sushi Ya and the chef also made more conversation with the guests. While we did like the food overall at Manten Sushi, there were some items that were just alright. Definitely still a good value though!

Is Manten Sushi baby/young child friendly? (2-3yo)

How do you make a reservation for Sushiya? and are they both english friendly?
@bearlyadventures Жыл бұрын
We made the reservation for Sushi Ya via myconciergejapan.com. Both are English friendly as the chef will introduce each item in English, and the chef at Sushi Ya also made conversation with us in English. :)

We haven't been to that many sushi restaurants in Tokyo, but you can check out our video here for some affordable non-omakase options: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3u9p2BoqrFjp5o

Any of them welcome kids? And do they have to have the same menu? No way my 7 yrs old can finish all that ..haha .
@bearlyadventures Жыл бұрын
Manten Sushi's reservation website mentions serving omakase to elementary school students and older, though we're not sure if it's a smaller portion or the same as their their regular omakase. Only children older than 12 who can order a course are allowed at Sushi Ya unfortunately.
