Personal assistants are always on call 24/7. If it's a Saturday, they got calls. They sick, still got emails to respond too. No health insurance, no car insurance, no gas card, no meal plan. These celebrities need to be paying top dollar for personal assistants.

Instead of overwhelming just one assistant they have a few of them and they spread out the tasks and duties among them. I just can't imagine hiring one assistant and expect them to work weeks and weekends and pay them $550 a week in 2022. That's ridiculous.

I feel like paying your assistant minimum wage as a celebrity is a perfect storm. Assistants know the ins and outs of everything about a celebrity, and seeing the person you work for being able to pay you your worth but choosing not to is setting themselves up to be robbed. You can be cheap with a lot of things, but a personal assistant isn't one of them.

It’s a shame. I actually just got a raise about a year ago. I was bringing home 550 every two weeks! And then when I got the raise I’m bringing home about 780 every two weeks. If it wasn’t for my side hustles and my husband’s paycheck I wouldn’t be able to make it. If something happens to where one of us gets sick and we can’t work. We gonna be down really really bad. Salary for assistants, makeup, wardrobe all of that comes out of the artist's pay at the end of the day, the label will recoup that on album sales, concerts, etc. This is how New Edition were broke in the beginning of their careers due to all the costs when they toured, flights, hotels, they didn't realize they were paying for all of that until they got measly royalty checks.
