Freaking incredible. Just getting into this sport with a stock 457 Pro Varmint. Can’t wait to get to the point I can stretch the distance.
@Jeff-mv4yy2 жыл бұрын
I've been into it for a while. I got a pro varmint thinking i'd need to customize the heck out of it to get it to shoot. I figured I'd put it ina chassis, get a Timney trigger and a Lilja barrel and make it a tack driver. Well I must have hit that barrel lottery cause it shoots with the big boys at my club out to 100. I don't know beyond that how it would do. fyi, i did not need the Timney either. I got the factory trigger down to a bump safe 5.5 oz with just a spring change and a lot of experinmentation with the interactions of the 3 tuning screws on the CZ trigger. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine! But in general, I think Kenny's guns and Vudoos tend to take over beyond !50 yards .

Lots of fun. What is the equivalent distance 22lr @ 587yds compared with say 6.5CM? No matter the rifle build, the velocity SD still limits possible group size as the distance increases.

Thats also a 56mm objective 34mm tube optic. Be careful with rings on the bases. Some low rings will cause the mag ring to hit the base. Medium is a safe ring height but some low rings will work

Interested to see the heads up match. Although I do like and use Douglas Barrels I would not consider one as being Match Quality though. Hunting Rifle or maybe a Military Match rifle certainly and for the price they get for one now your just a few $$$ away from having a Cut Rifled and Hand Lapped Brux or Bartlein or Krieger or Muller Mac Daddy best of the best barrel or if you're into button rifled barrels I'd go with Lilja or Benchmark they are definitely best of the best in the Button Rifled category. Maybe in Rimfire or shooting lead it's a different story but look on any big Centerfire Match like the Berger Southwest Nationals etc. equipment list and there won't be one listed and unless something has changed they are not hand lapped.

That scope base has 50 moa of cant between the mount and the base. I can zero at 50 yards and dial to 500 ish yards with the tract toric and that only leaves about 8 mils of hold in the retice. Feel free to believe what you want. This range is at the gasdsen shooting center in Iberia MO and ive shot that target with multiple 22lr prs rigs in front of dozens of people. And also a 22lr isnt safe af all at 600 yards lol. I mean maybe it wont penetrate very far but having put many a camera at 400-600 yards and hearing them little 40 grainers zip in and smack I wouldnt want to be the target.
