Learning English is more accessible than we were expecting if you take your time hard working out. Being persistent is the key point. Nevertheless, phrasal verbs become an obsession that keeps you away sometimes.

I see you left out the popular, but rude, "shut up." Probably better that way. People who are too rude too often might encounter another phrasal verb when they get "punched out." Anyway, good video for people starting out on learning these verbs. After you've learned a few hundred and are starting to get the idea, you can improvise your own as the conversation proceeds (or make them up as you go along). I have a book called Dictionary of English Phrasal Verbs and their Idioms, by Tom McArthur and Beryl Atkins, published by Collins in the 1970's. It helped me learn about these verbs so that I could explain them to puzzled students (or bluff convincingly). For example: The family shut up the house for the winter.
