Almost every person featured in this Atlanta trip series of videos has lived into old age. Just thought I'd point that out, as I see there are some revisionists in the comments trying to explain Nelson's intentions in filming by stringing their own strange narrative together. He wasn't filming his friends dying of AIDS, his first video log is self dated by way of a built in camera feature to '83 when AIDS was still a pretty select knowledge possessed solely by the medical community (and known as GRID) and, as it turned out, he was blessed that his group of friends were not getting sick, he was simply filming.

Actually, a number of them did die. Though that wasn't the reason Nelson was filming. He was simply documenting his life. Nelson died in 89. John Sex died from AIDS a couple of years later. "Christina" died a few months before Nelson died. Keith Haring died of AIDS. Another one of Nelson's friends, whose name escapes me right now, who features in his videos also died of AIDS.

Surely It had. Indeed Nelson had a induced heartattack by cocaine abuse that night. He had hiv since 83, he was fired from his job weeks before, and Christina took his own life. :-/

All misinformation - the father's in Nelson's family all passed away by the age of 43. Nelson did not do cocaine but he does mention doing ecstasy in one of the Kenny Kenny videos, but he also has a great sense of humor. He also smoked pot, but people don't generally blame that.... It is true however that he passed away suddenly in his bedroom in the company of a close friend.

Not really. Mercury content of tuna is correlated with coal fired power plant mercury emissions, of which there were many more in the 80s than now.
