Very interesting. Testing at 3,4 and 5 hundred is super valuable.

Thanks for doing this test. I just picked up 400 120 E Tips of the early style without the relief grooves. I couldn’t pass them at 75% off. Been looking for a 400 yard deer and elk load for my Sig Cross. Really hoping these fit the bill.

Great video guys! I use 120gr. Barnes TTSX in my 6.5 Creedmoor, works amazing on whitetail deer. In the last two years I took 4 deer with it. Two head shoot on does, a 300yr. broad side shoot & a 10yr. shoot in the neck on a buck all dropped in their tracks!!! I love all cooper bullets & Savage rifles!!!

Like your videos. But now it would be nice that you test 168gr e-tip in 300win mag or simmilar. Untill now you used all moderate loads/speeds. Bow its time to use something in 3200fps range 💪

If you're looking for high velocity testing with this bullet I would consider watching our video on running it in 270 WSM, in that chambering we had 3,371 FPS at the muzzle. Thanks for your support!

@@frontlinerejects8029 saw that also. But it would.be still interesting with lighter bullet in 300. I also tested few bullets in water and i saw much lower expansion than bullets recovered from animals

Awesome work. There is one cartridge that is glaringly absent, however. A short barreled, 308 Winchester load. We desperately need low velocity, 30 cal data points. A 308 cartridge, with an 1800 fps impact velocity would be hugely appreciated by me! Take care guys, I love your work!

Just found this channel, this is the exact type of info I’m looking for. I’m looking for a different monolithic 120gr bullet for 6.5, I’ll look through some previous videos see if it’s there. Keep doing this stuff guys!

Bullet performance looks really good. I’d try on deer/antelope

Great video, it would be very useful to see tests on Hornady CX and ECX. Especially more unusual sizes such as 110g 308.

We actually have a presentation on Hornady's CX (.308) in 110 grain, you can find it in our expansion playlist!

Great videos. I wish you could test how the perform after hitting something reasonably hard to simulate a bone.
@veteranironoutdoors83202 жыл бұрын
They are literally testing these bullets against one of the hardest mediums you can use: water. These results are skewed in the fact that what you see is an absolute best case (or worst case because it met too much resistance) scenario for bullet expansion.
@ExF1Guy2 жыл бұрын
@@veteranironoutdoors8320 I believe his point is that impacting bone can negatively impact the performance of a bullet. Not that he thinks it will expand better.
