Welcome back!!! Missed your info sessions. Hope everything is ok. Thanks for another great vid. Edit: I'm more than happy with my Charlie Mike. Personally, I'm not convinced the added expense moving to a PRC is worth it.

Thank you Mr. Mcbride. Good to hear from you again. Am working on a few more projects. Will look forward to your info on those as well...

You have to chronograph your rifle it's the only way to know the true velocities. For example...My Bergara premier approach 24 inch 6.5 PRC shoots Federal 130 TA at an average of 3150 and the box is 3000. But my Browning Hells Canyon longe range Mcmillian 6.5 PRC 26 inch shoots the same factory loads at just box velocities. The Browning is slower with all factory loads I have shot it with with 2 inches more barrel.

Do you plan on hunting with any of these match bullets? Decision on 6.5 PRC purchase?
@outdooradventures169614 күн бұрын
@Johnkader1176... From what I have seen, the eld match does a great job on game such as deer. Would rather hunt with Berger though.

@Johnkader1176...In regards to a 6.5 prc upgrade, 3 choices are worth considering....1) get another 6.5 cm with a 26 inch barrel and start shooting the 153.5 Berger, 156 Berger, or 153 Hornady A-tip (and handloading to get better performance without going too much powder obviously.) 2) simply purchase a 6.5 prc for the purpose of running the heavier bullets like, the ones mentioned above along with the 147 eld. 3.) skip the prc and obtain a 6.8 western and run the 165 to 175 grain bullets. Looking forward to your thoughts... Thanks.

125-130 grain bullets seem to be the sweet spot for my creed, so far, everything has dropped in its tracks

Thank you for the good data. Much appreciated... Btw, what distances are you shooting?

@@outdooradventures1696 I’m in the rain forest in Pacific Northwest, so 150 yards would be a long shot for me, the heavier, tougher bullets tend to zip right through. At that range, I think the creed outperforms the PRC

The 6.5 prc blows the needs more out of the water, no comparison
@ThorrRA379314 күн бұрын
That would have been spleen shot at 300 yards 100% fatal.

I know you said it should have been placed at 140 I still don't understand why one sixty five
@outdooradventures169614 күн бұрын
I said that it "could have" been set at 140 and that would have made for an accurate comparison so long as I was not unlucky enough to shoot a "hot" round at the moment of truth (which would have caused the 147 grain to arrive with a bit too much speed.) I wanted to take that risk out of the equation. Also, I wanted to leave a little room for some upside surprise in performance in case anyone were to purchase a 6.5 prc based on this performance. Hope that clears things up. :)
