Perfect timing! Can I still use my blow dryer to help keep the two hair types as close as possible during transitioning phase, since it’s not considered direct heat? Love your channel! Thanks for the tips!
@AminaMarie4 жыл бұрын
Yes, blow dryers are still our friend! 🙌🏽 I like to keep mine on and between the warm & cool setting, and it really helps with setting styles when you don’t want to wait! And thanks so much ❤️❤️🤗 glad they’re helpful!!

You are so amazing! I'm trying to go natural without the big chop, you have been so much help. One video kinda confused me. Ok, do I use the Shea Moister curl enhancer smoothie before or after the Eco Gel, I also purchased Aunt Jackie's Seal it Up. So, do the Eco gel and Seal it up do the same, or interchangeable?🤷🏾♀️I'm very confused, please help me Amina. I actually put all 3 on my hair, don't know how it's going to turn out!🤷🏾♀️🙏🏽

I learn from your video that my twist out weren’t thick as I wish because I’m still in the transitioning process. I feel better about them now. I enjoyed your video.

I'm interested in doing clip-ins as a protective style at one point....any thoughts on that for a 4c fine hair, 4month transitioner? Also, I am a #cluelessbraider . Any chance to do a how to braid (all types of braiding) video? Love the flat twist tutorial . Ill try that tomorrow!
@AminaMarie4 жыл бұрын
Yes clip ins are so fun!! I loved playing with them, just hard to find my color now! I’m still learning how to cornrow / French braid but will definitely report back as soon as I get the hang of it consistently bc it has been a struggle 😅 Any other type of braiding you’re looking to learn?

Thank you for all of the ideas. My only issue is that my hair started out SUPER short since I had a pixie cut. What about us short-hair girls!! 🤗🤗🙌🏾 A while back I did the Bantu knots and I did like the curls a lot. But now after watching this, I will try adding the rods on the ends because that’s where I still have perm of course. Ugh! I will also try the all over rod set you recommended since the back of my hair has grown to about 1.5 inches. I’ve not looked at all of your videos so maybe you’ve covered some short styles. Thanks for all of the info!! Keep it coming!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💕🤗🤗🤗

Thank you for this information! I have been doing the braid outs but I find I have to put flexi rods on the ends or they will come loose. I'm six months post relaxer. What do you think about crochet styles. Are these good for the hair?
@AminaMarie4 жыл бұрын
Yes flexi rods on the bottoms are another great way to curl them! 🙌🏽 Crochet styles are another great protective style option, just make sure to note some of the tips at the end for protective styles with keeping the hair moisturized underneath! 💖

Heyyy. Help me, plsss. My hair’s texture is naturally 3B - 3C, but 2 years ago I messed it up when it was in the most beautiful phase, by using relaxers. 🤦🏽♀️ Now I’m on my 5th month of transitioning and I try my best not to use heat on it. However, since I don’t have skills for hairstyles, I’ve been wearing high ponytails and my poor hair is breaking like CRAZY, and of course it’s not growing as much as it should. As a person who can’t do hairstyles and now is suffering from intense breakage, what would you guys recommend? Thank uuu! 💕

Hey! So im 12 almost 13 and im starting my transitioning phase. And right now Im just clueless on what to do but this videp helped a lot! And after like 1 year, Im looking forward to doing the big chop but my mom doesnt want me to. And i dont know what to do at this point but i will try convincing her. But if there is and more additional thing I should know, I would love that! And my hair is a 2a btw. Have a great day/night!

Can I use a regular dryer while transitioning? I can't imagine doing a flexi rod set without drying it under a conventional dryer.

I tried twist outs on my hair but they are not looking good on my hair at all. I'm transitioning since 7 months do you have any tips?
@Cxrm3n4 жыл бұрын
I transitioned my hair for 10 months before I decided to do a big chop. Its been 4 months since then and my hair is a short little afro. Though i noticed that when i sleep the hair at the back and sides of my hair get flattened but the front stays soft. Is there any way to prevent this?
@AminaMarie4 жыл бұрын
Good question!! I’m wondering if still putting the back and sides into no-twist ponytails (puffs) will help with keeping the root stretched and make it easier to pick out in the morning 🤔 Also a silk scarf might help if you’re not already using one. Feel free you DM pics if you like and I can get a better idea! 😊

I've decided to transition. My last relaxer was about a month ago. I have really short hair (especially in the back) and not sure how these styles will work. Any ideas for short short hair?
@AminaMarie4 жыл бұрын
Is your hair tapered or all one length? Depending on the length and style on the short cut your could definitely still play with rollers! Also make sure to join our Transitioning Support Group for more styling tips, we have a lot of ladies with short cuts! ❤️🙌🏽 facebook.com/groups/2810891245673216/
@felicia_7164 жыл бұрын
@@AminaMarie Thank you so much for responding! It's tapered in back and shorter on the sides then the top. I'm worried how the sides and back will look but I guess all I can do is try! Thinking I'll try flexi rods first? Thanks for the FB page info. I'll definitely get on there!

Love ur channel and ur videos but not everyone who chooses to transition has damaged hair. I have healthy relaxed hair but I just want to go back natural again.
@AminaMarie4 жыл бұрын
Totally understand, when I say damage I just mean a heat manipulated or chemical processed natural curl. When hair is heat trained, it breaks down the curl overtime, so though the hair may be otherwise well cared for without any split ends, well moisturized, etc. the natural curl pattern itself is damaged from the processing. Appreciate you calling out the differentiation because there are plenty of straight naturals taking great care of their hair! ❤️

Our 4C girls are doing it and some are doing the chop 🙌🏽🙌🏽 I know it’s not as easy for tight tight textures because of the contrast in texture but I love seeing 4C hair get to shine 😍😍 My favorite texture to work with when I’m styling family & friends
