Caleb, as a fellow Caleb to another, I gotta sit ya down and talk to ya here, my brother. I love your content. So so so much. I’ve watched GameCube Gambit, PlayStation Project, Mission Switch, and all your convention videos multiple times. You inspired me to resell but also to get back into gaming and loving the retro games that I never played. But ever since the beginning of this year, I can see you’re stressed or upset. It seems you’re very obsessed with the app which makes sense cause you invested so much in it. But try to take time and dive back into your love of gaming. Talk to us about your favorite Switch or GC games. Tell us what you’re playing or wanting to play. It just seems you’re really stressing about numbers and not enjoying where you’re at. Even your Renix Pesale channel used to be fun and interesting in how you’re changing your business (like your recent bookshelf video). It seems more like I’m on an investor call than seeing my passionate man from half a year back. This is all coming from a place of love, man. I hope you succeed in all your endeavors.

I’m just curious but do you feel like it would’ve been better to invest that $140k elsewhere and maybe just transfer the physical buy list to like a website or something which would’ve cost like a few grand tops? And just continue using Amazon and price charting for comps?

Yea, a house would’ve been a much better investment. But it’s his money so i guess he can invest in whatever he thought was best for him you know. I’m sure he doesn’t feel to confident about that investment now though

I love your content… but putting 100k+ into an app where you resell other peoples goods on amazons is crazy. No wonder you’re their standout customer. It’s such a wild way to spend profits.

Small minded really… definitely a risky business idea… but imagine the potential for a second. He has now opened up himself to inventory on easy mode… he essential has hundreds of people working for him now, and they’re paying him a fee to do it. I’m not sure how many *collections* he’s gotten from the app yet, but I’m gonna assume it won’t take long to start seeing a ROI of the app.

"They said One Up is their favourite app to work on and I'm their best customer" How doesn't this bloke see that he's a total sucker, been taken for a ride by these developers. Spent $150k to have the most barebones app, and then talking about having to rebuild it again for 2.0? I call this a money pit from day one and every video proves me right.

Stop calling it an app if it's only a website, that really bothers a lot of people because generally an "app" is a native application that runs on your device, not just a website that relies entirely on an internet connection.

It's a web app
@legoboy-ox2kx
@legoboy-ox2kx 5 ай бұрын
@@quandaildingo1278 I get that, but my point is that it's entirely contained within a website. Having an actual native IOS/Android app would allow for many more features and a much better experience for most users, since the UI, and barcode scanner would run natively instead of through the web browser which gets better performance, uses less bandwidth and the scanner would work a lot better since you have direct access to the camera.

The long-term issue with this app is that it pulls information from outside sources. Any program that depends on outside resources will need maintenance over time. That means you will have to keep paying the dev team to maintain the app. You hope that the app makes more money than the cost to maintain. This app was never going to be a one lump sum to complete situation.

One suggestion for the app: Give an option to set prices in your local currency ~ As a Canadian, it is a nightmare having to rough estimate the 30% difference when looking up a bunch of games. Even better would be a setting to permanently show prices in whatever currency you select for your account.

Love it if could put stuff available list that your list flag and gave one time offers to help me get over $300 minimum. This may be someting you already thought of r someone has already mentioned. You mentioned possibly in the future adding addtional Buyers to the App to purchase the things you don't. I would assume you would ask for some sort of fee or percentage. Could you bunp the idea up earlier and have one or two of those buyes invest into the App in order to be a buyer on the app. Some sort of on boarding fee to help with the developent cost. I know you are wanting to keep 100% ownership of the app. So a fee would help offset the cost with out giving up ownership.

because on amazon, they dont give you an option to charge more for boxed consoles/games. The price is the same as loose/cib and another reason he stated is that shipping bulky items is not a prefreable to him.
