Hey Caleb, just wanted to let you know I really enjoy these videos and just wanted to drop a quick comment to thank you for making them. You're actually the reason I got into reselling and am on track to do 500K in gross sales in my first year as a full-time reseller. The haters will always try to bring you down since they're envious of your success but you are having more of a positive impact on others than you realize. Thanks again and looking forward to the next one!

500k gross sales.... that's pretty impressive. You do ebay? Amazon?
@pumpkinking4463 ай бұрын
@@adammonahan687 Thanks! I mostly do Amazon. I started on eBay but the sales volume there is seriously lacking by comparison. I very quickly realized I had to make Amazon my primary platform if I wanted to do real numbers.

I’m 25, I’ve been reselling for 4 years, I bought my first home at 24 years old it’s a new home at 1900sqft master bedroom is downstairs and 3 rooms are upstairs. I rent the rooms upstairs too my friends which pays my mortgage. Buying a house is the smartest thing I ever done in my life, I run my store in my garage. Don’t rent, own y’all, many doubted me ofc don’t let it sink to your head, make logical choices, Be smart and make these sacrifices early in your life. I am on track to becoming a millionaire by 30. Good luck everyone.

Your math on the housing doesn't make sense. If owning was more expensive, then the people who are renting out homes would be charging more. They're not willing to loose money every month to rent a home. As well, the percentage you gain on a house is not based on your down payment, it's based on the entirety of the home value. You're able to leverage MUCH MUCH MORE than you'd every be able to accumulate in cash/investments buy signing a mortgage. If you make 10% on the value of your house per year ($500,000), thats much more than making 20% on your cash/investments of $50,0000. It's a pretty easy breakdown, you're paying the mortgage whether you rent, or you own. So would you rather pay your own mortgage, or someone else's? There's an obvious reason that every single financial expert tells you that its a good idea.

It's amazing how many people miss nuance. It's more expensive to own a home now then it was. Rental homes before have very different mortgages and such.
@jimyt66653 ай бұрын
I think for him he views owning as a time sink, which equals a money sink. It probably is better for him to rent if that means he doesnt have to fix somthing or wait for someone else to fix somthing if that prevents him from going out to a convention and making more youtube videos. He needs to keep striking while the iron is hot. I would let my house go to shit if it meant i had a chance for a youtube video to all of a sudden crank out 30k that month. He doesnt work a normal 9-5 hes going through life min maxxing like a runescape player and farming youtube videos for that big loot drop

Hi Caleb. Loving your videos man. I seriously appreciate the transparency and insight on what it takes to run this. my question for you is: When you started out and were buying games at flea markets. How did you go about cleaning them without having one of them fancy resurfacing machines. I would say that is my biggest dilemma as sourcing the games isn't the issue. But sending them out in a condition that I am happy with is currently problem. I want to provide full transparency the way you do and don't feel comfortable selling them as is yet. Any advice would be appreciate but please do so in a video format when you're just working and answering questions. Those are my favorite. Thanks again!

Caleb, I wanted to write this out even tho it seems you'll never read it. I just want to say I'm very happy to see you separating yourself from the hater persona thing. That has always bothered me. For example, you recently went on Riffs podcast and a lot of the topics were on haters. Then weeks later Riff turns around and does a sponsorship with whatnot and reveals he's had over 100k lifetime sales with them. He's just as much of a reseller as you, yet I never seen even a hint of resale hate directed at him. I love following you both. Just an observation from an outside observer. And to your point on not reselling games. I believe that's bad advice. You have to engage with what you're passionate about. It's clear your passion is for business, so yeah you probably could do well selling tractor parts. Most people can't last engaging with something you simply don't care about at all.

Ive heard alot of people say not owning actually saves money but I have not seen that. The amount you use to fix something up compared to the extra you pay for rent seems to counteract itsself. I think it just depends on your goals. ALso when you have multiple children the focus shifts I guess.

Hey Caleb, happy Bday! I am a long time watcher and first time commentator and I have to ask - why do you never mention in your business videos how to got set up as an Amazon Renewed reseller? I recently found out that how you sell on Amazon is via Amazon Renewed listings and not on the standard Amazon listings. Renewed is of course more restricted and supposed to be “refurb/renewed” items so you get less competition, the pricing is higher and those are the listing that come up first on Amazon when people search. Curious why you haven’t been forthcoming with this info on KZbin when as you say you like “radical honesty”?

I like ya man but I gotta be honest. Your house statement is just wrong. A lot of your examples of expenses relating to home ownership are laziness... You don't need a landscape 'guy' or a carpet 'guy', you also don't need monthly trips to Home Depot, prioritize what needs to be done over what you want done. I have done tons of renovations for CHEAP and I do cosmetic improvements on my own. You're probably spending 20x the cost of doing it yourself, and some of those things likely don't even need to be done unless you're overly concerned with how people view you. With houses its also not just equity, but houses generally go up over time, even after huge economic downturns, it always returns then exceeds where it previously was. With renting you are quite literally throwing money away. Anyways, great video. Keep on keeping on.

I love ya Caleb, and I for the most part enjoy your videos. HOWEVER. Not trying to be a negative Nancy here. But, for the record, I’m happy and am happy with my life lol. But I have a couple of comments. 1. Remember folks, this guy asked limited run games for business advice and tried to give it to us lol. 2. I understand that sometimes you have negative comments or “haters” and you have to weed out 90% of those comments. However (and I’ve ran a business) you saying you don’t read your comments and listen to the haters…. Well, how do you ever expect to grow or improve on yourself or your business if you block everyone out? You have to know your audience. Partly why you got so much hate was over the GameCube gamebit. Not all negativity can be bad. It can sometimes open our eyes and want to do better. Just some thoughts. Again, please understand I’m meaning all of this as respectfully as possible.
