I agree with writing. Not trying to push views on anyone but my life really started to become clearer when I stopped trying to “plan” and live for just for myself. Praying, reading the Bible, listening to God and journaling, have all been a tremendous help in my life. I think we can easily get wrapped up on our own “goals” and “visions”, but tend to forget to even ask God what he wants us to do in this life. That’s just my opinion..

Do all your 'boring' weekly chores - laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning, etc. - during the week so the weekends are entirely free and clear for adventure or relaxing. It makes for a busier weekday but you'll finally have time for friends and family on weekends.

I have implemented music in my morning routine for the last couple of months. I use a noise cancelling headset and play music I know I get a smile from on my face and music that makes my body move/dance. This combination gives me such a good feeling that it has decreased my feelings of anxiety and improved my self confidence. PS good video Nate, keep up the good work!

Love the video Nate! Super helpful habits to integrate. One of the things that I have been starting to implement is morning walks without any music or podcasts. It gives me an opportunity to have some peace and be able to think about how I am going to attack the day and I've noticed I generally get more done on the days I do this compared to the ones I don't.

That one hour morning buffer time doesn’t actually need to be the first thing in the morning. I woke up at 7:30 to get my kid ready and drive her to school. After that, I have 1 hour time to do my morning routines before work. I think the goal for a good morning routine is to set a tune for the day. Setting that tune before getting kid out of the door may not last after the chaos of getting a young child ready. I found 2 things really set that tune of the day. One is walking in the treadmill for 15 mins to get a little sweet. The other is study something in the morning to fill the need of self improvement. Great video! Keep up with the good work!

Hey Nate, great video as always. I have always struggled with this, I have to be at work at 6am, with an hour commute I have to wake up atleast by 4:45am to get there on time. So it’s super hard to get a buffer in before work because I just really don’t want to wake up at 3:30 am. But again great tips and video!

Agree with all of them, although instead of making the bed in the morning I leave it neat but pushed back as although many people in the productivity community swear by it, science advises against it because it traps dust mites inside the bed, and I also usually open the bedroom window while I'm getting ready, not because it has any increased productivity benefit but just because it's common sense to refresh the air

Nate … This is very truly excellent advice for a single person or newly married couple provided you don’t have: 1. young children. 2. certain pets. 3. infirm relatives that you are the primary care provider for. 4. livestock whose needs change with the seasons. 5. a job with irregular hours or a job where you are on call 24 hours at a time. That notwithstanding, it IS excellent advice. Unfortunately, it is not realistic for a majority of us, but we each can take SOMETHING from this list. I thoroughly enjoy your videos!!! Take care, be safe and God bless!!! Chuck Knight from Buffalo, Texas. 👨🌾🐩✝️🙏👍

Nate Love your videos. Yes I go directly to coffee, but will take ur advice and have a glass of water first. I know I don't drink enuf water so this will help me to get used to drinking more water. I think that the best thing to do when u wake up, nature is often calling and u need to go and pee. I will wash my hands and face and brush my teeth then go into the kitchen. If I have coffee and/or breakfast, I will brush my teeth again?

I think that buffer is so important. There is definitely periods in my life when it doesn't work very well to have an elaborate a morning routine. Before that you just need to get any amount of sleep you can.

2:24 I just have to say one thing about waking up at the same time every day: *I am a nurse.* And I completely agree about morning routines setting good start for your day, but dude, my sleeping schedule is messed up. Truly, by every means, messed up. That's why I never liked these parts of "how to have good morning routine" videos - because that simple part of it I can't have. Sometimes I am pushing through the day with 2h of sleep, sometimes I napp all day - depending on the level of exhaustion. Or I just need to organize myself better before and after work. But my daily activities always depend on what shift I am working that day. If I am night shift, my day can't be too busy or I will be totally miserable through my shift. And my day after night shift, if I get at least four hours of sleep it's real blessing, and all day I will move around like a zombie. You would say 21 yo person should have more energy, but I am half-dead. But it's all about habits, isn't it?

Making your bed is so underated. It's so easy. My morning is wake up, make my bed, pee, chug a glass of water, make coffee(I throw a table spoon of coconut oil in it) chug another glass of water while taking vitamins. Shower then off to work
