Hello. I'm mexican and I really appreciate your opinion and I hope you can do the same with mine. Yes, please, don't come to Puerto Vallarta and any other part of the country and maybe to any other part of the word. To do that you need to think in adapt your self to the place you go. If you don't want to suffer with the changes, easy, don't come. If you think that my country need your money, sorry we don't. You are very welcome when you come with respect. Be sure about the law in Mexico. Foreign people can't have a property 50 km close to de shore. The water in Puerto Vallarta downtown especially are good to drink from the pipe. Like any other tourist place in the world you most have to be careful with your belongings. If you don't don't cry. If you need assistance you can ask for help to everyone just try to communicate in spanish, you are in mexico.if you want silence go to a retirement facility. If you want to be happy, free of criticism, good weather with amazing people then come to Mexico. If you think that I'm overreacting, think how's you origin country, why you try to change of location. Have a nice day.

Excellent comment Hector and I fully agree with you. You come to Mexico you adapt to the culture. I tried to get that across in the video. Respect for Mexican people and the Mexican culture is paramount. If you can’t speak the Spanish language, take classes and try to learn. At the very least be able to ask for what you need in Spanish. Even if your Spanish is not good, Mexican people love that you are trying and they will help you. One thing I do need to correct you on in your comment however is that foreigners CAN indeed own property within 50 km of the coast which means here in Puerto Vallarta. To clarify, the deed of your property is held in trust with a Mexican bank. Other than that you are the owner and have all the rights of a property owner just as you would with your property in the States, Canada or any other country. This means you can sell it, rebuild or renovate it any way you like and you can will it to your family if you wish. It is fully your property. The trust is for 50 years and renews every 50 years in perpetuity. Hope that clarifies the property ownership question. Thanks again Hector for the great input.

A late night Mariachi band doesn't bother me, but the pounding electronic music on the north end clubs of the Malecon is truly awful. We used to love staying at Hotel Rosita, but the last time we stayed, the pounding "music" went on until about 5:00 am and that was the last time we stayed there. In Tenerife, Canary Islands, the clubs have to cut the music way down after 10:15.
