In this video, I go over 6 signs to look out for to make sure you're not dating a crazy person. Now, a lot of times "crazy" means this person has some issues they need to work on but it's up to them to fix that...not you. I want you all to have healthy relationships and that can't happen if anything on this list is going on. Let me know if any of these have happened to you in the comments below!

I dumped a girl over "all my relationships have been bad because of them". She cried uncontrollably and blamed me. I was so happy to cut that bullshit out of my life. These "nothing is my fault people" are the ones who cheat on you because "the heart wants what the heart wants". Dump them, dump 'em hard, no mercy.

It's actually pretty scary how this list describes my last relationship although the girl isn't necessarily that bad, it's just her past experience and her family that have impacted such behaviour from her and the insecurity of a girl usually leads to all those negative stuff she's doing. And it's so unhealthy, I swear. At first it's all good, it's lovely, but even then you see some red flags, it's just their nature when a girl is beautiful and you are inlove, you can't always tell if you have to tollerate or not. It's natural to just skip those red flags, but eventually over time it gets worse and worse. Except the privacy stuff, she was not controlling, but was jelaous enough and was also often in defensive mode, like she starts something, then you explain that it doesn't make you feel right and she's going crazy like ''don't blame me'' etc like it's always your fault basically. Those people never learn from past relationships that once you are not single, it's not gonna be just about you anymore. Of course, you don't wanna make it too strict right of the bath, but people have feelings too and in relationship besides the attraction phase, there's a lot to talk about over time. It's never a straight line once the lovely stage is over.

I think the biggest idea here is not to date somebody who is always looking for what is wrong with you. If this person is always trying to push you down and elevate themselves, it will be impossible for them to trust or respect you. One of those ideas that sounds very obvious when read but is much more subtle in real life.

Hey, I’m going through a breakup with a woman that has displayed all of these signs. We were together for 6 years and she recently ended things with me. This has been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I feel like I’m not going to survive the ending of this relationship. Can you tell me if this has been your experience, or am I crazy?
@CloudyNebula
@CloudyNebula Жыл бұрын
@@markcollins3272 Oh, you are definitely not crazy. This seems to be common place for all of us who have experienced this with that kind of person, and it is definitely an awful experience. The best thing I can recommend you is to resist the urge to look at their social media, use a blocking extension such as StayFocusd if necessary. Now you need to really 'detox' from that person, and that means a certaing degree of isolation, in my experience. I needed therapy for a while and the whole process lasted for over a year, so be patient. But you will overcome this, it just takes time while you distance from that person as much as you can (as difficult as it can be sometimes). Be strong and hang in there!

@mr.e1026 Жыл бұрын
@@Danny328DT "Are body counts really a dealbreaker?" They should be. Especially if you're young. It is not a big accomplishment for a woman to be a ho. Any woman can do it. All they have to do is say "yes". "What if it's 2 - 5?" When I said "Has a *high* body count." what did that mean to you? Or did you just skip over the part in bold? Do you think 2 to 5 is high? Let me introduce to you the calculus called "dick-stacking test". Here's how it works. You take the number of men who have been with her, and divide that number by 2. This number represents feet. (6 inches per guy. 2 of them equal 1 foot). If a woman was to fall from that height and she is likely injured by the fall, that's too many cocks. If she would die from the fall, that is a walk off the lot one. Why? Being a ho demonstrates impulsivity. Impulsivity is the antithesis of loyalty. If you're ok being a cuck, or your wife having a couple boyfriends, eventually she will leave you. Either way, you may end up raising the offspring of another man. These sorts of women are often combative, abuse drugs or alcohol, have multiple bastards, and are financial wrecks. Does that sound appealing to you? "I can see that being reasonable, but if it's like 30 or 50, that's a cause of concern health wise." Health-wise? That is a walk off the lot situation. Keep the street walkers on the street. When it is said that you can't turn a ho into a housewife, you should listen.

only thing i'd say is jealousy tends to be a bit of a natural knee jerk reaction on occasion (obviously depends on context), but i don't think jealousy defines anybody or is an extreme "crazy" flag | I think jealously, in a minimal sense, can let you know how much you care about your significant other - other than that, super accurate and great points!

A girl I dated had some of these traits plus some combos. She would explain to me about how bad her exes were and how much they screwed her, "everyone leaves me" attitude, in the process of sending me dozens of messages listing everything they did wrong. Some of the stories had her being the victim so much I doubt most of it was true. So there's 3 red flags in one hit. I had a bad feeling about her and turns out my suspicions were confirmed after I ended our relationship she fell pregnant to another guy just six months later. I felt like I dodged a bullet. I stopped talking to her when she started messaging me with everything he was supposedly doing wrong. Somehow I think she thought having a baby with a rich guy would solve her problems but turns out her new boyfriend is depressed and thinks she's ruined his life. So I guess it's as you said Courtney, these girls have issues and the thing that makes them crazy is their unwillingness to help themselves, only dragging down others. Don't get dragged down with them!

Jealously is a tricky one. Are we purposely doing things that are making our partner jealous?… then perhaps gaslighting the scenario? I have been with partners who have purposely tried to make me jealous as a manipulation tactic. Toxic for sure. It’s definitely a 2-way street. Snooping is very much related to jealousy. Having friends of opposite sex is very much contextual. There are some boundaries which need to be mature and respected. Lying is a definite no-go! All these points come down to the most important relationship fundamental of mutual TRUST!

Healthy relationship is impossible if people are unable to have friends and don't understand the concept of friendship. How to tell if a person is able to be a friend, 3 main qualities are necessary: 1) honesty - the ability to call a spade a spade 2) loyalty - ability to achieve ambitious long-term goals, being true to something for 5 or more years 3) modesty - the ability to respect the dignities of another person, his aspirations, and ultimately his life, above your own Ofc there are exceptions, but generally if someone doesn't have any friends, it means the person is a selfish liar and a traitor. So yeah, it's not about being constantly surrounded by friends but about the ability to be one.

@@Nephibis, it's hard to judge by your short description, but basically you've described a Siren, a dishonest woman, not a Valkyrie. They sing sweet songs attracting people, but that's a trap. If she's using people for years and they can't see it, that's not friendship tho, it only means she's a master of disguise. Ask yourself, do you think she would die for her so called friends? If the answer is no, then most likely my assessment is right.

I agree with you. It is not necessary to have friends. Just because you don't have any friends doesn't mean you don't understand the concept of friendship. Hi Courtney, love your videos and you always bring up great points! I do want to say that in my opinion, there should actually be three big points to the last sign you came up with rather than two. The two you brought up are already very valid, but if she actually *does* have female friends and they're all what we'd consider "crazy" as well, that's a bit telling of her too. I think you said this in another video (correct me if I'm wrong) but you are what you hang out with, and so if her friends have all these red flags, that's only gonna make me wonder if she's someone I should be having second thoughts about. Thank you - and again, love your content! I will be subscribing right now.

Good list. I'm not into jealousy. The problem in my past relationships were that I work a lot and they assumed I was out with other women. Or if I didn't answer a text right away. Sometimes, having female friends isn't always a good thing in my experience. Some women can be competitive and purposely will sabotage your relationship and friendships.

I only dated my ex for two weeks and she did everything you said. Moved to fast, spend everyday with her, she said she loved me on the first day, yelled, lied, hit me, and many more. I ended it because she had lied and gotten me sick so I had to stay home and I told her we couldn’t hang out. She then text me saying that she would cut herself if we didn’t hang out. It was horrible to read that and even worse for me because I had told her that I cut myself before so she knew what she was doing when she said it. She had 4 different people text me after we broke up and one of them was her ex. Even he confirmed everything wrong with how she acted. Best part is after I got home from ending it she text me that I wasn’t allowed to date any other girls lol. So glad I ended it early and had people to help me see the signs before it got to far.

Hate to say - but all the traumatic relationships, highly manipulative, “is she going to file a false police report if I break up with her” type of girls I’ve been with had HORRIBLE relationships with their parents. That’s a big red flag for me now. I’ve dated girls who didn’t really like their parents but it was “resolved” so to speak, those girls are fine. But I mean an ongoing chaotic hostile relationship with parents - red flag. My current gf of 6 years is super chill and calls her mom like 3 times a week to chat, so I think there is something to this.

I came here from watching Courtney review the 'Hot Crazy Matrix' (to which she gave a fair and honest response). I'm now happily married (for 15 years) . . . but I looked back on one relationship I went through before getting married. Intellignent and beautiful - in public. In private she'd just scream at me, throw things at me, hide my car keys so I couldn't go home and ended up throwing things at me (including knives). I left and had to hide as she kept stalking me until she found someone else.

@maxwellspeedwell2585

Oh man, that reminds me of one.... Every cop knew her. Her boyfriend was moving out. He was walking across the lawn going away from the front door. She's in the doorway screeching, "NO ONE LEAVES ME" (click... Yes, a BAD "click"). His right hand slipped off the end of the coffee table, and he quickly reached down to get it. The he heard a loud noise, and it felt like his left bicep was hit by a sledge hammer. She was going full Dirty Harriet on him. The bullet would have gone through his spine and then his heart but when he quickly reached for the table the bullet went through his arm. He was lying on the ground, turned over and she was above him, hammer back, both hands on the gun, and he was staring down the barrel. He thought, "Well... this is it. It's over." She eased the hammer forward, turned, and walked back into the house. He drove himself to the hospital (good thing. If she took him to the hospital she might have put a brick under the gas pedal, and sent him over a cliff!). The prosecutor asked the victim what he thought should happen to her. He said, "Well don't send he to prison! She will just get crazier!" A week later I saw her out working at a new job. On the hot-crazy matrix (crazy 4-10) she was an 11. On the hot scale she was an 11. "Oh man, she's hot in bed!" No, you're in bed and it's hot because she lit the bed on fire with you in it.

Maybe that's just me but the friendship between opposite gender is impossible. Whenever you begin to catch feelings for your female friend and she rejects you. That means she does not see you as a potential partner or you are not enough masculine for her. In other words that is called disrespect. This is why after the girl or guy cannot stay friends after a reveal like that. Because one knows that he is desired by someone he finds doesnt suit him and the other is hurt. Maybe it's just me but whenever I see friendships between guys and girls they all end horribly and for myself that was the same. I even had a girl said to her girls this about me : "Ben ? Don't be silly, it's Ben, he has no dick, but he's very kind and sweet" So not only she annihalated my self esteem that day but she made sure her whole squad would see me as a puppy and not an attractive boy. I ditched her immediatly after that and didnt wanna hear a single word from her again.

Looks like what you've described wasn't even a friendship. Friendship - selfless personal sustainable relationships between people based on sympathy, mutual respect, trust, common interests and goals. Do not expect relationships based on sympathy alone to be something serious. Those who know what friendship is and experienced it, value friendship much higher than passion, desire and sexual relations.

@@IxamusMC Don't be so hard on yourself or take what she said to heart. Some people are just not as inherently social as others and that fact doesn't make you a bad person. Does it limit your opportunities with other people? Absolutely. If you want to change that, then you've got to work on it and it is going to be uncomfortable. However, that's your choice and other people don't get to judge you for your own nature. Anyone who does is not the kind of person you want around you. I get what she's trying to say in the video, but she is reaching very hard with that point.

@@gregory6401 This is a good outlook. Like I said above some people are just not nearly inherently social as others. Oftentimes we don't figure this out until our adult lives as all the way through university friends are incredibly accessible. Once real life kicks in, it gets way harder. I do want to acknowledge the way you feel is incredibly relatable. I have been in a very similar situation since I graduated, though I am in my mid twenties and tend to be the younger person. People think this makes it easier but when you struggle to relate to your own age group, it doesn't matter how much older or younger you are.
