I'm really pissed off at John from the 3rd story, no matter what reasons he gave, because I don't believe him. He clearly shoved his friend to the ground and ran away so that the other guy could be attacked in his place, and when he asked him to be the one to put get out of the truck and fill it with gas, I knew that he was planning on leaving him AGAIN once the tank was full. No wonder they stopped being friends. If anything, I wanted to cuss him six ways from Sunday, and beat the living daylights out of him for what he did because he is a selfish, yellow bellied coward.

Mid Missouri is a wierd place at night. I've lived here my whole life. I've experienced a lot of really crazy stuff living here, but I also sort of have my own big foot story. . I was about 12 years old, and my family was supposed to be staying the night at a freind of my step dad's. At some point my mom and step dad started fighting (I won't get into details) so me and my sister and mom left at like 3 am and were planning to leave him there. I don't remember how, but somehow he beat us to the top of the road, and my mom got out of the car to yell at him. We were stopped on a road in the middle of nowhere and me and my sister were talking about how we just wanted to go home when we heard this blood curling sound. It was like that screaming laugh that you hear with the stereotypical witch from the movies. It sounded very close to us. (Our windows were down in the car) then whatever it was started running toward us at a speed that I can't even describe coming from the woods. You could hear the weight behind the steps, and even though it was pretty dense Woods, it never crashed into anything. Periodically we would hear that screeching. We were screaming for my mom to get in the car, but she was fighting still, and didn't want to. Finally we got her in the car with our step dad and we left. I never saw it, but I'm certain it was just out of view. . Fast forward several years later .... me and my sister are at a baby shower and telling this story, and before we could even finish describing what we experienced, and what we thought was the cause , my sisters life long freind (who is very level headed and it was strange hearing something like this come from her, and were all adults now) interrupted and told us this crazy story, about how she was driving not far from her house when she heard that sound so loud that it drowned out her radio, then she slammed on her breaks bc someone was sideways in the road, and in the headlights of that car she saw a giant harry man like thing cross the road. I had a few other friends, including my history teacher from high school who had similar experiences. . My story wasn't that crazy, but it had a lasting effect on me.

We get some strange animals here in Australia, I have never heard of a black cat or panther being here, doesn't mean that it didn't happen as rich folk liked to transport exotic animals with them if they came to Australia and some got left behind or escaped. In South Australia there is a little town called Tantanoola where an animal was killing farmers sheep. At first sighting reports were of a small tiger but it eluded farmers for a while, this happened back in the 60's I think. Eventually some farmers got together, sick of losing livestock and hunted the tiger down. It had earned the nickname the Tantanoola Tiger. What was finally shot and killed was not a true tiger but a Tasmanian Tiger or Thylacine. According to the newspaper article it had gotten on board a boat from Tasmania and managed to avoid capture at the port then travelled inland a bit and snacked on the farmers lambs. It was stuffed and now sits in a glass cabinet in the Tantanoola pub, well worth a look if you ever travel round the area.
