Chase Jarvis Are you serious about the fact that you really didn't know about the scientifically proven benefits of sleeping 7-8 hours per day? I mean didn't you learn this at school? Didnt you have Google? Or if you were so skeptical, couldnt you have just bought some books? I mean who doesnt realize this? I just dont believe sleeping 5-6 hours for 10 years is even possible and how you couldnt have realized that it was slowing you down.

Chase, thanks so much. You inspire me every week and have helped me re-imagine what my photography career can be. CreativeLive is the best thing to happen to the internet as far as I'm concerned, and the dozens of hours of content I've watched has unquestionably changed my photographer for the better. Thanks for holding up your torch and helping light the way for the rest of us.

I definitely do the protein breakfast thing, I also am a strong believer in giving yourself plenty of time before you start your day just waking up, not focusing on anything but just thinking. Would love to see an episode on your thought process throughout a photoshoot. From the starting idea to the concept, finishing with the final images to give to the client. Love your work!

Great Video Chase. Get More Sleep: Getting more sleep for me is a must, at 50 years old I now sleep for at least 8-10 hours a night and I feel great. I feel healthier, more alive and focused on accomplishing my daily tasks. *Drink water every day: I like alkaline drinking water and coffee myself, water is the most natural way to clean my insides out which makes me feel better. *Meditate for 20 minutes: I have to admit this is something I need to work on. *Visualization: I like to imagine how my day will go and repeat it over and over until I can feel my inner force guide me through the rest of the day successfully, the main key is for me to have a positive outlook. *Eat healthy food such as protein and healthy fats for health. I like having a protein shake with blueberries in the mornings to complement preparation for going to the gym. *Moving my body daily or every other day such as going to the gym and stretching and exercise is a healthy way to wake the body up and get moving for the rest of the day.

Chase, thanks for putting out these KZbin videos. I enjoy your useful tips and your natural energy. I watch others and their energy seems fake and if they are faking their energy what else are they faking. So since your honest about your energy ... well you get what I am saying. I am grateful I found this because I found myself being a bit grumpy to my wife this morning, I am going to use your list to start my morning tomorrow and look forward to sending my wife a happy message at work instead of an apology.

Brilliant! A lot of this is stuff I do when I'm at my best, so it's a great reminder to be at it every day! I'd love to see you do something on the other end of the day. I can find it really hard to switch off, especially when I'm on a project I love (or facing a deadline). So your ideas on ending the day well and getting ready for a good night's sleep would be appreciated!

I know you've talked about this before, but relating back to The Best Camera, I am curious to learn more about how you take, store / organize, etc. mobile photos. Also what apps you enjoy / what kind of editing tricks you might use. More importantly, how do you edit / organize photos in general on the fly & while travelling. Thanks again!

Chase, these new videos have been awesome, really love the format and direction, plus it's glad to know that you're not gone from KZbin. Anyways, as far as suggestions. This is more rooted in my current situation, but I certainly feel a lot of creatives share this problem at the root. So me and my girlfriend took the plunge, uprooted from the UK, went with a months wages to Berlin and we're trying to build ourselves up from scratch. Logically speaking, it's a stupid decision, neither of us speak the language very well and finding part-time work to support ourselves thus far has been difficult. However, I don't regret the decision as it was an opportunity for me to throw myself in at the deep end and start taking risks again, unlike the comfortability of my life back home. So at the moment i've been relying on freelance music composing work from back home in the UK with my portable rig. This will see me through another month here in our AirBnb, but beyond that, I recognise that I need to start building connections here in regards to my freelance work. I'm working on the language every day, but I think i'm struggling to find an effective way to put myself out, showcase my work and get people interested. I feel like i've started again, with zero contacts and no work. I thought maybe a good topic to cover would be self-marketing in early days of freelance. When I was back home, it was something that came naturally, but with the language barrier over here and lack of knowhow, i'm certainly feeling like i've started again. Any insight into connecting with people and building meaningful professional relationships from scratch would be amazing. All the best, Matt

Hey Chase! How are ya today? In a future episode is it possible you could talk about the time when you realized you could not "fly solo" anymore and hired a steady production team/crew? How did you tackle that task and what was the process like in terms of: hiring them, trusting them, teaching them, etc... all while keeping your "Chase Jarvis" consistent style/feel to your images? Love these episodes by the way, they get me through the week! Cheers.

This is your first video that I've watched - first time I've come across you even though I watch a lot of motivational videos on youtube - and I already like your approach the best. You provide a list of exactly what to do; and more importantly, exactly what you do. And you seem to have a genuine likability about you. Just when I said maybe you won't be trying to sell any thing, but you did mention the Creative Live website, for which I'll have to wait and see how much you will be trying to sell stuff in your other videos. Selling stuff is such a turn off. There are people who like that and there are who don't. I've stuck with a morning routine for a very long time but I must be getting tired of it as I've found it difficult to stick to it lately. Starting with tomorrow morning, I'm going to be following your morning routine verbatim. Thank you!
