Ever wondered what puts women off in dating?
I go through some tangible examples of what men do that women hate, according to real women's experiences.
This isn't about superficial, silly "icks" but about the things that don't make us women feel safe, provided for or cared for.
Ladies, what did I miss?

A big ick that I have as a guy that I would imagine girls would also find true is not being empathetic. I really think empathy needs to make a big come back. I do think though that generally the language around icks though (not necessary for you but for others) is totally lacking empathy or is assuming something that isn’t necessarily true. Like a guy having a bunch of alarms to wake up could totally be poor discipline and showing a lack of motivation to get up or could be a heavy sleeper and by setting all them it ensures he doesn’t miss any therefore showing discipline in forward thinking and knowledge of self. In other words, can’t judge a book by the cover nor the first chapter.

those things are only annoying if the guy isn't tall, rich, and handsome....... when she is +30, she'll tolerate you if you have a pulse.

I don't really follow the second. 8 alarms is excessive but that is his routine. By the 8th alarm he knows that he has to start his day.

Don't be too smooth? Lol If he's actually being smooth, you wouldn't notice. "I'd read anything you wrote" is a painful choice of words. I think you mean "Don't come off sounding rehearsed"? And the alarm clock thing? I was going to say the ability to get up on the first bell and how hard you work aren't correlated (and I still think that isn't true all the time) but, the more I think about it, the more I think you might be on to something :) You might not always be right, but if a guy can't get out of bed on time, how are you going to depend on him for other, more serious, things? Anyway, I appreciate the open dialog. Always interesting to hear a woman's perspective

Thanks for your perspective, Jesse! Ha, yes, I more meant "don't come across disingenuous or contrived" and I absolutely agree that not everything is correlated - I'm just sharing a few things that made me think "hmm..." at the time when I heard them, assuming that other women may feel the same. 100% to open dialogue - and also to knowing that none of us fit in a box and personal experiences aren't necessarily rules!

@@delphinediscusses Well, the thing with the icks, considering the time clock, is you're still allowed to have them even knowing not everyone fits into a box. Hearing "icks" has kind of been seen as a bad thing, especially by guys, but I appreciate the honesty. They are good things to know regardless of whether the guys agree with them or not. Anyway, have a bad @ss day

Modesty is indeed tricky. As a wise man once said: "Subject matter can be learned and copied from books, manuals, and articles, but style is unavoidably what makes the man". Personally, I take it as one of those subjects that should seldom if ever be discussed out loud with potential partners; posture, clothing, and language ought to be enough to assess where (s)he stands on the matter. Then, once a romantic relationship blooms, it could be rather fun to find out together what manner of modesty best compliments/complements each other.

Why would a man help with a woman struggling with bags? They’re strong and independent women who don’t need no man, so why can’t they carry their own bags? You can’t have it every way.

Delphine, you were spot on from beginning to end.I appreciate and thank you for your effort and deep research. Your perspective on this matter is worth more compared to the sadly common insaitable mindset. There's always an area for us men to bring out the best version of ourselves 💪 Keep it up amid all the negativity 💯 (🧑🏿)

Thanks so much for that, J! I really appreciate your continual encouragement - and absolutely, we are all learning (and will be until the end of our time) God is patient with us, so we ought to be patient with each other, even when there's negativity ;) But gosh, what a ray of light this comment is in this stream.

These requests are so basic. So minor. Many are just base level interpersonal and communication skills for relationship management. As so many of these trolling comments convey, women’s asks for decency scrape the bottom of the bucket and are still too much.

@jessemiller3108
@jessemiller3108 4 күн бұрын
I mostly agree with this sentiment. Probably my biggest mistake was listening to what women say and not what they do, but... a fish knows where the other fish are, can tell you about their routines and their habits, and give some insight on what they find tastier as bait during some times of the day lol Know that women aren't great at telling you what they're attracted to, but it's still important to listen. There is good data in there. You just have to fish it out ha
