This is what i do with my wardrobe too. I look for shoes, sneakers, boots, etc that i can wear the most, no matter the weather or the outfit. I do the same with my clothes, no flashy branding, styles, etc. Versatility is the word of the day. 😊

Absolutely agree. The “falling red, yellow, browns” (Jethro Tull, Witches Promise). BE a total part of it. Go at least a tiny bit darker on the khaki imo …. But… Don’t be afraid to go against the grain but also embrace the season as well! It’s fun.

I feel, being Autumn, it’s cool to wear Autumn colors: brown, gold, etc….and the textures: suede, corduroy. Looks really nice to ‘match’ what’s going on about you! But! Guys! Do not be afraid to go full force with a strong blue or green! It/that/they will put you at whatever forefront ya wish to be! Also…(and you can with nigh everything mentioned above)…take those chinos down a bit to a darker khaki and even a “mud” color. Now’s the time. And, though it’s not winter yet, also don’t be afraid of some strong blacks here, already. Every season ought have a bit of at least three seasons to give the ‘finger’ to what everyone else is doing. Heheh! 😁 Also, also….go ahead and grab an affordable, super chunky, retro (perhaps even cheap) watch to put together with this or that. Even an old, thick Casio. Seriously. Heheh. Cheers, gentlemen!

I’m a “dummy” with shoes, so I shall defer, sir. For my own part, I’d say simple Oxfords, but of a flat black and ‘tough’ style, for the season. Not for everything but overall. Oxfords…brand new…that have a feeling they came from a time machine from 1927. Heheh! And solid cologne to match!
