True. The 30-day "no contact" rule is often underestimated though but there's so much you can gain in those 30 days if folks do it right and push through the pain.

@@BradBrowningthanks for the encouragement. I needed to hear the voice of strength. I initiated no contact a few days ago. I’m sure he thinks I’m done and I sort of am, but I miss him. I’m not backing down. If he does, great. If not, I’m moving on, as painful as it is right now.

Thanks for the voice of strength. I needed to hear that. I initiated no contact a few days ago. As much as I miss him, I’m not backing down. If he does, it needs to be under different terms or it’s not going anywhere. Thank you for helping me stay strong.

Like I always say, the decision is ultimately up to you. You know your situation and your ex best. Sometimes a relationship can be salvaged and worth the save but sometimes it isn't, especially if there's cheating or some other type of abuse involved.

Right? Lol 😂 even when I ended up with someone new he still was trying to contact me. He once kept calling did it 100 times I’m over his bullshit. He couldn’t even be there for me at the hospital making all these excuses “I have work” is one he made. I actually was so hurt I hit him on his hand and his response was, “if you weren’t a woman I’d hit you.” I slept in his car homeless when I said, “I need to go to the bathroom he was too tired to take me. I feel so damn stupid but I know others can possibly relate I’m realizing now i was in an abusive relationship. How depressing.

i am 10 weeks no contact and to say i have found peace is an understatement. he left me for someone 14 years older than me. it hurt like crazy, and he went no contact on me for a couple weeks and came back. we of course hit it off and i was thrown back into the cycle of toxicity, and getting hurt over and over again without any repercussions for him. i decided i would finally pull the plug on it, and when i did, it opened up a whole new world of possibilities. i enrolled in school after putting it off for years, i have been focused on what makes me happy instead of what's wrong with me, and i have built myself back up to a point where i feel stable again. it is life changing to remove someone who hurts you repeatedly out of your life.

Someone who loves you will never go for long with no contact unless he took you for granted and you are always there waiting for him/ her to come back so you should definitely move if it’s too long, and never take him/her again this is very disrespectful to go for long then come back whenever you want . you definitely don’t want a partner who only knows damage and game ..

Agree. When NC is too long (over 2 -3 months) there is no point as if they can go for that long, they don’t truly appreciate it and will know that no matter how long, you will be there waiting. And that NC cycle can keep repeating. Can you do many NC of months and weeks and months and weeks? It’s very damaging. Saying that, a short NC also isn’t good as there wasn’t enough time to truly reflect, realise things and make some changes.

My ex broke up with me exactly 3 weeks ago but not for the reason that he doesn't love me or he met someone else. He admitted that he still cares for me so he has been writing me every once in a while asking how i'm doing. I wrote him today that its best if we cut off the contact in order for us to move on as well as i'm having a hard time letting go. He seemed shocked and really cold, guess he didn't expect this?! Hurts so bad, i've been crying ever since. Feels like he didn't care but in fact he does and it hit him.

3 breakups in just two years is a bit alarming, if you ask me. With on-and-off relationships, oftentimes this is a sign of underlying issues which have been left unaddressed for quite some time. It may be time to put things into perspective while it's still early because in 14 years spent as a relationship online coach alone, I find that a breakup is often NOT just one person's fault, so look at the roles that you've BOTH played that led to the breakup and if the issues have a chance to get resolved, and how to go about it. In most cases, the problems that led to the breakup can be resolved, but in some cases, it can't. So take time to evaluate, okay? However, I have to warn you not to ask the reasons from your ex. This is what I've discussed here along with other stuff that might help you, so this is a must-watch: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKKkdpxvhcd4d6M But if you're interested in making this your last breakup, sign up for my coaching program at www.breakupbrad.com/coaching especially if there's an available spot. Good luck!

Not gonna lie, I am here bc of a SITUATIONSHIP that ended because of basically nothing. We had a little argument and I apologized genuinely. He told me to stop annoy him and I realized that I deserve better. Overall he was not the right one for me. Even though it hurts, no contact is what I intend to keep my dignity and maybe show him that I have high maintenance that he cant reach.

True. If you're not on the same page to begin with, it's really just best to let it all go. If there was a true genuine connection, I'm sure he will reach out first as time passes. Then you can set boundaries or feel out the situation first and assert your own needs and wants first. Best of luck!

@@BradBrowning Oh, I am so happy to see a response. It has been over three weeks and he started to reach out constantly. He tried to lure me into contact many times but since his approaches were childish I never agreed to meet up. Two days ago he asked a mature way to see me and now I said yes. He must have felt slightly relieved since he started to drag the convo into subjects that we both were passionate about. I answered coldly but polite enough. Now we will meet up on wednesday and I really do not know what to do or expect.

I would love to see changes or at least him admitting that he likes me more than he himself has expected so we could work on all this with the intention of having an official relationship. If thats not what he wants, wednesday will be the last day ever! I deserve to be loved and to love someone wholeheartedly. We were in this situation for 2 years and I doubt that he realized his feelings for me now. If there were none in 2 years, there wont be some feelings that have developed during no contact I guess.

@BradBrowning

Just a couple months in and he's already losing interest? That's not good. Depending on what really cut the relationship short, it may be time to consider moving on from this. But don't rush. Always take the time to give each other space first, all right? Do a minimum of 3 weeks of "no contact" and see if you still want your ex and if your ex is receptive to contact AFTER that period. Meanwhile, I've been playing guitar and getting really good at it, and she's noticed that and some new clothes (even stuff that are in line with her interests...) She's talking to me again, and I saw my opportunity when they were on a week break, and even though that's over now, she STILL talks MORE to me than she talks with him, but she will still prioritize him over me. Is it ok to go no contact again for a like a week or two? I'm really getting sick of playing second fiddle.

Sorry to hear that, man. It sucks when that happens but whatever the case may be, it's never a good idea to play second fiddle to any guy. That's a neutral sign. Since you've already completed the full 30-day "no contact" rule, and assuming you've done the "no contact" rule properly, then the texting tips here will be a good starter: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqDRfqeCe9RjZpI This means you take time focusing on the second phase and eventually the third phase when the time is right. This won’t happen overnight, of course, but it’s something you ought to continue to work on to the point where you’re gradually building attraction again. This is what my guide is for. Have you checked it out yet? It's too complicated to explain everything on here, but here's an overview of these phases and what to expect in each one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5aqf4N4mdWhqas Good luck!

If you've reached out to your ex only fairly recently, and assuming you've correctly employed the 30-day "no contact" rule, then that's a normal reaction from your ex. Here, watch this to help you understand things better: y2u.be/CP8FQlvDuVU But I would worry about what sort of messages will you be sending your ex? Needy, desperate messages will get nowhere fast regardless of how much time has passed. It's a different story if you've been trying for so long with all the right moves and still no progress. It just depends how this plays out really. Focus on the second and third phases instead. Hey Brad, we broke up last month but been in contact even during breakup, we talk casually and shes in this hot and cold behavior with me. She easily gets irritated in one moment then goes back to being friendly. The situation has been very hard for me and she knows I am needy and she knows I cant resist her. But today i found the courage to leave the situation and asked her some space, i also explained to her the reason. She then admits to still have feelings for me but she respects my decision. Any thoughts? Will the 30 day no contact still work in my situation?
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 2 жыл бұрын
This could mean you need to give her more space. That kind of behaviour coming from your ex is somewhat expected after a fresh/recent breakup. That's why you ought to give it enough time where there's totally no contact between you and your ex for at least 30 days. A wide array of different emotions coming from an ex is somewhat expected when a breakup is still fresh and this includes the likelihood of your ex giving you mixed or weird signals. Watch this: y2u.be/siApAVtx8zE This is why I tell people to cut off contact for at least a month first and NOT deal with this ex. You both need to clear your minds first, all right? A breakup hurts both people in it regardless of who has done the breaking up. This is something I've discussed here, so watch it to learn a few tips to help you on how to go about it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5ytYqyYqqt8fqc

Stop trying to meet her. Focus on texting and try not to meet up when one of you or both of you aren't ready yet. A key component is to avoid small talk as much as possible, especially during the most critical stage: 30-day "no contact" rule because there's a huge chance your ex may be slowly easing herself away from you. If anything, your ex is suffering, too, even though it may not seem like it. Discussed that here: y2u.be/7KE6nb4-ndA The thing with exes, especially the one whose idea is to break the relationship, is they also struggle with the breakup and finding all means to cope...including talking to someone they're used to talking to, a.k.a you. What that leaves you, however, is unknowingly becoming their emotional sponge. So if you want this ex back, you ought to let her feel what it's like not to have you in her life first, so employ the 30-day "no contact" rule, okay? Here's how it can help you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKiTdJurjah4o9k An exception is if your ex is trying to contact you about something really important or is sincerely asking you to get back together. Understand that you risk too much by staying in touch and you best not respond unless it’s about something important. Watch this, too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYalf5dspal8hK8

Hi Brad, I started the no contact right after the breakup and I went out with my friends after two days of break up (there was a mutual friend (boy) of us. I posted a story, my ex replied like why he’s not there. I didn’t reply. He texted me to ask about some personal questions but I didn’t reply, even he tried to call me I didn’t answer. Is that okay? Since I’m in my no contact period I didn’t answer the call. He didn’t mention anything serious or urgent so I didn’t pick up. I’d like you to give your opinion. Thank you.
@BradBrowning
@BradBrowning 2 жыл бұрын
Try to see if your ex has been calling you about something urgent. Unless your situation falls under one or more of the scenarios here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5zCZaqmoLtpbMU AND kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWjMdGCdfdKNaKM it's best you ignore contact from your ex. If your ex continues to reach out to you during the no contact stage, however, then this really depends on the frequency and nature of the contact from your ex and whether or not you've reached the phase where you're supposed to be talking again. The only exception is if your ex asks for you back and is sincere about it. If your ex continually messages you, then it’s important to put your ex’s messages into context, more so if this happened during the “no contact” phase. Is your ex trying to contact you about something really important, like an emergency, unpaid bills, or something equally urgent? These are reasons to respond, including messages where they get angry due to your lack of response. Discussed that in full detail here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYXNdnR9f7yHq6M So if your ex is really just texting some useless random stuff and/or asses their power over you, then you can just ignore and continue on with the 30-day "no contact" rule. Use your discretion. Watch and follow the tips here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJiyeGypZsuUmZo

I completely walked away and moved on when I found out my ex was a narcissist. She tried like hell to hide her true character during the love bombing phase. As soon as the devaluation started, I walked away without warning, or explanation. I changed my number shortly afterwards. I realized she was only using me and never loved me. If she's truly a narcissist, you might want to think twice before trying to get her back, because even if you can change her mind, you can't change her personality, especially if she has a narcissistic personality disorder or the traits being shown to you. It's a mental illness that should be looked into by a medical professional. The best you can do is to encourage her to seek help. Now if you aren't sure whether she really is one and/or how to best handle the situation, consider signing up for my coaching program so I can look into this with you and what's really happening that you may be too close to see or have an outside perspective on. @@BradBrowning Trust me, I have no need for revenge. Before I ever met her, She had already ruined her own life in many ways just by her life choices. When I realized that she was a borderline with strong narcissistic traits, I knew that by her outlook and her mentality alone that she was stuck. Destined to struggle with any form of relationship with anyone in her life(Her family, her friends) I understood early on in my research that she had unknowingly condemned herself to a life of loneliness, paranoia, guilt, shame, and self loathing. Making herself extremely self destructive. TBH, knowing what I know now about personailty disorders, I wasn't even angry at her, or regret the relationship. I basically got away unscathed. At the time, I made a concerted effort to not hold on to grudges any longer. I realized that by doing so would only cultivate bitterness & resentment. which is counterproductive to my personal development. It was something that I noticed early on within her during our time together along with a completely different person in my life who chose to live in his past as well: My own father. By holding onto his past hurts, He slowly compromised his health, emotional well being, & all of his relationships incl. with His wife(my Mum), & myself. The life that my ex has lived for the last 30 yrs of her life has been of her own making through her own selfish choices. I met her in late july '22, and disappeared in early nov '22. So I am completely satisfied with leaving her alone to her own devices, and her never being a part of my life ever again. I walked away to protect my own identity, self worth, and emotional well being. Plus, by walking away, everything is in my favor when I stay away from her with absolutely no contact at all. She, on the other hand, is forced to deal with multiple difficulties alone with little to no resources(which includes emotional & cognitive techniques) to handle or cope with all stress that floods her thoughts & perceptions every waking second of every day of her life. We agree that as someone who lives with 2 personality disorders(borderlines & narcs share a lot of overlap in their list of traits, the strategy is what differentiates them including discarding), CPTSD, and having been stuck in a survival mindset for 30yrs: she is deeply troubled, and carries with her many deep emotional scars along with a warped perception of reality & magical thinking. Things that can only be handled by a licensed mental health professional. But my ex has openly rejected any form of accountability b/c she sees no need to change in the first place. Unless I am in close physical proximity to her, I do not consider her a threat, so I have absolutely no interest in starting any sort of fight with her since she has left chosen to leave me alone as well. I consider that a blessing in & of itself. Admittedly, It has taken a bit of time to heal & work out my feelings, but now I am almost to the point of apathy when it comes to her. I intend to leave her in peace & to her own devices. If she improves, it will have to be by her choice alone. No one who is still close to her can force her. I refuse to involve myself any further. I'm content with working on my own problems, and improving my own situation & relationships instead

Hey Brad, in the previous video I layed out my situation in the comments, and long story short: I've been trying to implement the no contact start, kinda successfully, we spoke last week and yesterday, we exchanged a few words (I started the convo), asked if she could borrow her guitar, because I've always wanted to know how to play it, she was a little skeptical about it, but she agreed to meet so she could lend me the instrument. I'm also going to try teasing her, she has a new job (teacher), and I'm going to try the hot teacher tease or the worst student she has that needs to be punished (kinky, I know), I also wrote a letter this morning, which I'm going to give it to her. It talks about me saying sorry for all the pain that I've caused, and that I really feel the pain she shares, thank her for the "oportunity" of the breakup, that made evolve as a man, I've lost 5lbs in 2 weeks, started doing meditation again, listening to podcasts about "how to become a better man", me getting a new job as well, and asking her to lend me her guitar so I can start practicing. What do you think? Right tracks?

Yes, just make sure you're reading the situation well and not force things. If your ex is open to lending her guitar to you, then that's awesome. Otherwise don't push it, all right? So far it looks like you're on the right track, assuming you've done the first phase (30-day "no contact" rule) correctly and basically had set the stage for this second part. Be sure to check out my other videos for more tips on how to go about this, especially this: y2u.be/gUBNd6pDINM Since you've only recently reconnected, then don't expect your ex to warm up easily. Getting an ex back is a process. Here's a short infograph to guide you in each process: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXvXnomYedCVotk Look out for the signs that your ex has moved on, though: y2u.be/TnZzeEIPEik But evaluate things, too. Are you sure you're not trying to rush it? Setting a deadline is a good way to fail when it comes to exes, so I highly discourage it. What steps have you taken to get your ex back? It's time to re-assess those and see what's working versus what's not working. Sometimes, getting an ex back is like trying to fit a square into a circle, but oftentimes, chances are you're letting emotion dictate you and therefore end up making the wrong choices. Have you checked out my guide yet? It’s ultimately up to you to act (or not act, depending on which phase you’re in) on getting your ex back, but it helps if you read it to ensure that you’re on the right track. Check it out at www.breakupbrad.com

Hi Brad, What if he started dating another girl immediately and seems to be happier than ever now? (It’s been a month after he left). He works with that girl and for at least 6 weeks, before he decided to move out all of sudden, he was emotionally cheating on me (admitted that, she was his “escapism” from the problems we had at home, he could not wait to go to work and see her smile etc. Thank you for your videos, they help me a lot to deal with feeling rejected ❤

You're welcome but I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. Being cheated on takes its toll and re emotional cheating yes, that's very common. Discussed that in depth here: y2u.be/7KE6nb4-ndA There's no easy way to say this but the answer is is to move on, especially if your ex doesn't seem to be regretting their actions and asking to get back together. I understand what you're going through. You know moving on is a tricky process and the emotions come in waves. I've started this today and it's really hard. I was only in a relationship for a few months but we fell deeply for each other. He is living with his ex and I found that very difficult as we couldn't speak unless he was away from the house. Also his PTSD and mental health was incredibly bad and I felt suffocated under it all. I was getting depressed too. If things were different we could've made it work but we live hours away from each other too. He said he can't give me the relationship I want or need right now as he's got a lot of inner work to do. I decided this is the only way to heal as my heart hurts incredibly bad and he wants to remain friends but I need this no contact time first. I hope I've done the right thing as he has depression etc? I have had to do it more for me as it was too painful trying to be friends still. And I found myself checking my phone constantly and social media.

I really hate to burst your bubble here but let him finish whatever unfinished business he has with this ex. Sorry, but there's not much you can do at this point, especially if your relationship only lasted a short while and more so if he’s seemingly (subconsciously or not) used you as a rebound, for your ex to jump back too quickly with her. You deserve to be chosen and not kept as a backup plan, yeah? Good luck and I hope you find the right guy for you soon!

There's really no telling what future actions someone will do. As to being blocked, I don't see this as a cause for concern really, unless you've done something really epic to mess things up or really hurt your ex, there's no reason to worry as much, really, because it could be due to the top 3 reasons I've stated on this vid: y2u.be/fjtv90o9bkI Blocking you could just be your ex’s way of coping so I wouldn’t worry too much about it if I were you, at least not initially. So give it time. If you stay blocked after months though, then that’s another story, especially if you have no other means of communication or have no mutual friends. More about that on here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4a3amV_d5qondU Anyway social media should be the least of your concerns. Focus on all three phases and your ex may naturally unblock you, in time, as you learn to rebuild that attraction and re-attract this ex back to your life.. Here are the basics of all three phases to getting an ex back: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5aqf4N4mdWhqas and social-media wise, here (but then again, don't let it become your sole focus) : kzbin.info/www/bejne/emKqoYVrgqajh80 Good luck!

In that argument he said “you won’t be hearing from me again” 😔 but in the end I gave him the tickets and tried to say “I hope there’s no hard feelings” then I saw him for a minute really quick to exchange things about 3 weeks after that. Hey Uncle Brad! My girlfriend of 10 months broke it off with me about a week ago and told me that if I fix myself (which I’ve been doing, gym, muy Thai, eating well and cutting out toxic habits) that I could reach out down the line and maybe we could get back together. I naturally didn’t obey the no contact rule for the first couple days and obsessed. But then I found the no contact rule and implemented it about 4 days ago. I’ve been posting on my social media me at the fight gym the weight gym and doing fun things in general. My question is this..should I block her on social media as well so that she is completely in the dark? Or is it good for her to see the positive strides I’ve been making in my life? I feel like it’s a fine line and I don’t want to mess this up. Please let me know brother and thanks for this content it’s really eye opening!

Hi Brad! thanks for the video! Currently 45 Days into NC after a few mistakes early on but I'm staying strong this time. However, does NC work the same if my ex is in a new relationship? My ex broke up with me and started seeing someone 6 weeks after we broke up. We were together for 8 months. In my situation, this new guy isn't just a random person. My ex's best friend set her up with this guy (new guy is also best friends with the husband of my ex's best friend) Would you still consider this a rebound or something a bit more serious bc this isn't some random guy from a bar? This is a good guy who is already well connected with my ex's friends and family. They have already been seeing each other for almost 2 months now and are still going strong. I realize where I went wrong in the relationship (failed to communicate where I stand on things) However, I believe we could easily fix it bc these aren't crazy big issues. Just little things. I'm just discouraged that I may never get the chance to show my ex bc the new guy is already so well connected and they are happy right now. Thanks again for all your videos. Trying to stay positive over here but it's hard :(

You're on the right track, assuming you've done the first phase (30-day "no contact" rule) correctly and basically had set the stage for this second part. Thank you for this video Brad. Stuck right now where she isn’t sure what she wants. Both moved across country, met here but she’s been here longer. She’s homesick, wants to move back, need to be out of our place by Wednesday. Still together daily, always telling me she misses me so badly and cries. To the point where even if she gets home before me her “heart sinks”. She plans to move back and I found another place. She’s staying here in an in Airbnb to finish her work before she leaves in a few weeks. 5 days into this but every day we’ve talked about our problems and potential solutions such as long distance. I don’t want this, nor do I think it will work but she’s unsure if she even wants that. Even if i said I’d go, she’s unsure. We’ve been best friends, have spent a ton of time together over the last 2 years. Both have been very emotional but I can’t stop communicating with her yet because we’re still living/sleeping together. Do you have any advice on this? Relationship wasn’t perfect. Started fighting more toward the end (mostly due to communication issues) but her opinion of the fighting was worse than mine, she’s also worried we don’t want the same future. But since this happened, I explained I’d compromise in our future to make it work. In the last day, she’s said how “we’re not broken up, I’m still here, we’re together right now” but she plans to leave.

And he has moved on from me and is seeing another girl. I heard from somebody that he was going to block me and thought maybe it would be smart to do it first as I have been wanting to for a while. I told him I could no longer be his friend and we needed to go no contact. I unfollowed him on everything and deleted his number. Do you think no contact would still work in this particular situation?

My husband dumped me, filed for divorce, and now says he's moved on. He is in love with another person. It's been a year and within that year I made way too many mistakes and chased him. Two months ago he blocked me on everything. After a week he unblocked the phone for ending our business dealings together. This is hell! I've waited too long to implement this no contact rule. I am so devastated by all of this! It's not a little pain, it's alot. It's like he died and i'll never get to do things with, see, touch, or hold him again. But someone else does. OMG!

Your videos give me hope, I took the quiz, it asked about cheating… I have been accused of it many times… how can I show him I haven’t?

It all boils down to trust. Without it, you can talk til you're blue in the face and what you're saying to him still won't register. As long as you haven't broken his trust, you really got nothing to prove. Just offer a simple explanation of whatever the cause of misunderstanding had been and then give him space to process the information, yeah?

The first question is why would you want to get back together with someone who left you? An ex is an ex for a reason. It doesnt make sense trying to get someone back who didnt want to be with you in the first place.

You're referring to a fairy tale that only exists in the movies. In real life, nobody's perfect, so the right one can sometimes run, and 99% of the time, you play a role in the breakup too because again, nobody's perfect and life oftentimes get in the way of things.

Hey Brad, my ex broke up with me after finding out that she was cheating then I blocked her on everything, she reached out after 40 days of no contact saying she thinks about me but I never replied, what’s your thoughts about situations like this?

I had a break up 2years before I moved away form the city we lived in and got married... I sent an email to my ex when I had a baby... After a month my ex contacts me back wishing me from that we started our conversations she says she loves me and misses me and she is engaged too... We did meet up too... But I am not sure where this will lead. I am feeling that heartbreak again... What do I do?

Hi Brad, my boyfriend broke up with me over silly misunderstanding over communication last Thursday. I gave No Contact straight away but I broke the NO Contact Rules & messaged him this morning, he replied back & I pushed on with how much I love him & want us to get back together & he went silent on me. So I'm thinking of going back to NO Contact Rules again by tomorrow, is it too late fir that?

Give him space. Play your cards right and notice the world of difference that this can make. Stick to the "no contact" rule this time for at least 30 days. Here's how you can tell it's starting to work: kzbin.info/www/bejne/imW2q2l6nryFqbM AND the importance of silence after the breakup here: y2u.be/zw0ChuXCEmw and in the meantime, this is the principle you ought to follow: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5fFmIhtq5WBr5Y A situation with an ex is often fragile, so you'd really want to omit, if not minimize these mistakes. Start with the 30-day straight "no contact rule. It’s one step forward, two steps backward with an ex & there are no unlimited chances with them, so if you can do it right moving forward, then do so. Check out my guide so you won't end up making the same mistakes. Good luck!

Hey Brad, She left me a week ago after 1 year . These past 3 months she went on a spiritual trip to Spain ( el camino de santiago) and later stayed an extra 2 months (3 total) visiting old friends. 1st month contact was somewhat fine. Next 2-3rd months she turned very vague and we barely spoke, I fought somewhat with her for her lack of communication. She came back last week and finished it with me , telling me how much she reflected on our relationship and how I was emotionally unavailable and she was fed up trying to get me to open up, all things pretty much true. I accepted the break up maturely and hugged/cried it out with her . She told me she is going to miss me. I gave back all of her possessions and now its been a week of no contact. My birthday is in 5 weeks. I reckon she might contact me then. Im really sad about the breakup , I really do miss her. Do I have a chance of getting her back even though her mind seems extremely made up?

Before trying to get her back, I suggest you work on your own issues first. Why can't you open up to her? Being emotionally unavailable won't bode well to a romantic relationship, especially if this is someone you were in an established relationship with already. I can try to help you out on that though and I'll help you get to the bottom of things. Sign up for my coaching program at www.breakupbrad.com/coaching

What if my ex is asking to go out during no contact period? I know what to do if he texts or calls, but should I go out with him if he wants? He hugs me often and wants sex, saying how good I am and beautiful, buying me things. But he doesn't want relationships. Should I reject him? I am so confused. We were together for 8 years.

That would be a bad idea. Assess the risks first if it's all worth it. Remember, meeting up when you're both not ready will only alienate your ex further, and that's best case scenario. Worst case scenario will land you a spot in the dreaded friendzone or friends with benefits.
