I just grabbed your drafting table mod yesterday, thank you so much for that! Since using lamare's 50 new lifetime wants, i've been doing a lot of the hobby related wants and paying attention to hobbies so much more, i'm sure this will be super helpful with that. I think hobbies are a bit overlooked sometimes but they are such a great part of the game. I also made myself collection folders for each hobby and put all items that can help gain that hobby in them (as well as decorations that just look relateable) which I have found SO helpful as I often forget which items do what, and now I have very thematic houses/bedrooms too which adds a lot of character.

Lamare's place setting mod essentially works like their mod for bed deco that you also showed- it let's you put various kinds of objects/CC on the table (not just the place mats you showed, but any kind of in game or custom item) and you can decide when the object(s) should be shown on the table (eg when the table is not in use) and when it should disappear from the table (eg when sims are eating)

Ooh, I’m so glad to hear that I’m not the only one who downloaded ACR and then got rid of everything except woohoo! I’m going to get the mod at 1:46:01 as soon as I’m on the computer - thank you! So basically, a lot of ACR players seem to believe that ACR makes romance autonomous. But that’s not really true - all romantic interactions except woohoo are autonumous already, without mods. ACR just makes it easier to make out with strangers (aka casual romance). Which is great if that’s what you want, but I don’t. However, Sims will only use Maxis romance autonumously on the gender(s) they are attracted to, and new Sims and townies are neutral to both genders by default. That’s why they don’t romance with each other. The mod changes that, so Sims can use Maxis romance autonumously on any gender that they are not repulsed by.

I pronounce Live Mode the same way as you (like ‘going live’ on TV). I could swear that’s how it always used to be pronounced by the developers etc in the OG days and think it’s only since TS4 that it changed. Us OGs should rise up to have it changed back LOL! 😂

i agree, as someone who says live mode as “lived in” is pronounced. i think “live (as in going live) mode” sounds better and is a relic of the past. idk how to explain how it is the day n age of today that lead to the word being read as “live(d) mode” it makes sense as a connection in my mind but have zero points to explain why lol

For your next video installment could you check for any updates on music traits? I forgot I had them in my game at all I think they’re made by fway but I can’t seem to find any updates on whether anyone did anything with those trait inventory objects to have them do anything. I’m obsessed w all the color trait compatible mods id love a social that asks for a favorite music so don can say salsa 💃!!

Not really. There are some store bought versions that come in bags, but those bags don't look like chip bags and are made of different material. They also have flat bottoms. But most store bought cookies have more of Oreo case, coming in a plastic tray with a stay-fresh wrap/bag thing.

I had Jackie93's dumbbell mod, but found that the sim never put the dumbbells down, nor could I delete them in any way, even removing the mod. You stopped filming Don before he finished. Did he put them down?

I'm not completely sure what you mean, I'm glad you think my game looks nice! I don't use a shader but perhaps you mean my lighting mod, Cinema Secrets, and some other graphics mods, if there's anything specific then let me know and perhaps I can guide you to another mod :)

I think its probably mostly thanks to the high shadow settings in RPC, and I also use Lazy Duchess' soft outdoor shadows: lazyduchess.tumblr.com/post/663873963870601216/ts2-soft-outdoor-shadows-20 (the overlap version), as well as this I have my in-game shadow settings on high and also use Nopke's Sim Shadow Fix to prevent the black boxes and make them look nicer (option 3.0). Hope that helps!

I install the sims 2 RPC and it was working fine yesterday but it said no defaults when i tried to launcher it today so I uninstalled it and reinstall it and it still says no defaults. I would really appreciate the help.

Urbz music and Bustin Out music as a new mod? That isnt new, it was basically done when TS2 came out since Urbz and BO came out before and had it's music already ripped. They are basically MP3 files that you can add to the game or made as a new radio station, its not rocket science .... Why people make these dupes and reuploads of one and the same thing hogging up the servers is beyond me .... Even those ipods seem like a ripoff / reupload mod of something that was released 20 years ago. Looking through now the whole video most of these feel like they are re-releases, something I seen or even used decades ago and nothing really new. Dont remember the cats one, looks really cool but cats also have whiskers on their face cheeks not just brows and next to the nose, perhaps something to add in future. The axolotl is supercute, also something to add more to it like nature enthusiasm etc, make a bigger proper enclosure tank for it etc. Needs an expansion. The style sure looks like it comes from TS4. Switch only placable on the ground ? It should be placable in the trash rather XD I am still happy TS2 gets it's love it deserves but some people should seriously stop making dupes of one of the same thing ...

We build on things together, improving things and breathing fresh air into things, and allowing different people to discover things throughout the years. It sounds like you have a lot of negative feelings towards the game and its content creators so perhaps this just isn’t for you. If nobody built on any mod ideas since the 2000s then we’d be stuck with a lot of outdated janky stuff…
