The elders getting up super early and needing an afternoon nap because of it is actually really realistic though. I personally like that because it makes them feel different from regular adults.

To me it's super annoying, I like all my Sims to have a close to normal cycle, I can't have them whine about energy at 2:00 in the afternoon :D Plus, if they go to bed at a regular hour, say 10-11pm, they can literally get up at 2am. Is that still realistic?

If there were a mod to make elders' energy drain faster, that'd be perfect, since they'd need to either nap or go to bed early which is pretty elder-like imo

The elder sleep programming is annoying but when you describe it, it is EXACTLY what it's like to be older. I'm 54 now and when I wake up in the middle of the night it is sometimes very hard to go back to sleep. Sometimes I can't, and I eventually get up. Then I'm tired all day aaarrgghh!!!

I personally recommend Less Hobby Wants mod that makes Hobby wants less invasive and you don't have "Talk about hobby" or "Blog about.." wants everytime your sim wakes up.

Same, I can't stand playing without this mod. Also the one where toddlers can come to community lots and vacation, as well as teen pregnancy. It just makes for more realistic game play.

I remember how game bamboozled me with those one colour kittens... I adopted a white kitten (I believe it's normaly in game at start to adopt) and named him Filemon (it's a white kitten from a Polish cartoon) since it suited him... yeah- it turned out that he was a birman cat (like a fluffier siamese cat) xD Also there is a set to fix a car in TS3... but it's a store content achievable after buying Roaring Heights (and the car is like from a century ago... so it may not be so useful... but it does exist ^^)

Been there and done that. I once had one of my sims adopt an orange kitten. Decided that Cheddar (as in cheddar cheese) would be the perfect name... And then she grew up to be white with brown patches. Yeah, not what I was expecting at all.

The school fun thing seems too easy mode, also takes away the only benefit of private school. Simple leftovers is not for me, I would get more annoyed if I had to click on the fridge for every single Sim, plus additional menu for putting away leftovers? No thanks! Is "Walkbys Behave" about kicking the trash can etc.? I heard about that, but it's so hilarious that your enemy neighbor can literally give you deadly flu from cockroaches 😂 I have same sex marriage (and Baby Want Fix) and the baby thing seems super useful to people who actually wait for babies to grow up - I always age them up "a day earlier". Is the bookshelf hack about always putting away books? Idk this one :O

@@Marticore About the school fun mod, I can definitely understand that. Sims 3 was my first sims game and still the one I play the most, and that game was a bit more lenient in terms of sims' needs. The way it works in sims 2 is a bit too much for me at times. But If I'm playing a legacy challenge, I don't use mods that make things easier for my sims since it's meant to be challenging. There are two versions of walkbys behave. I use the one so that only sims that are furious with you will steal your newspaper, gnomes, or knock over your trash, because it makes sense to me that people would only do that if they hate you. Oh, the bookshelf hack just makes it so that sims won't get out a new book if they already have one. It's usually not a big problem but in dorms and huge households, the house ends up getting overrun by books and for some reason it drives me nuts.

Ah yes! The eating and talking issue. I mostly try to avoid having sims sit and eat together because they're always ending up being late for work/school and I have to cancel the eating, thus going to work hungry to avoid being late. I mean, who takes 3 hours to eat a bowl of cereal?

Not already watch this, later watch this video, but, yes for The Sims 2🏡🚺🚹: ±99% my family sims (always there's a child boy as youngest child or single child, always adult, not become elder as other member/housemate also adult), one by one sim, eats, separate, not eat together, takes long time. I not want use cheat set hour to back 1 hour & not want waste lot reagents magic for too many use spell Tempus Interruptus & so unconvenient buy reagents magic from good & evil high witch NPC (because easy sacrifice money rather sacrifice mood when make reagents because i can got lot money). I tell this before watch this video because afraid forget to tell this when after watching this video😁🌈🌈🌈🌈.

i liked almost all of then but the eat more and talk less, and the elder sleep trough the night don't fit my playstyle much, i like that elders get up early as it fits my memorys of grandmothers being awake at night, and the car working breaks the game balance for me as its way too easy to make money selling it..... but other than these i love the list.

It's a lot more difficult if you open a car shop with Open For Business - Sims aren't very keen on buying something that expensive, so Sims might struggle a little :D And you can make the car a bit cheaper!

All the mods that I have in my game were recommended by Pleasant Sims, my favorite so far is simply leftovers. Leftovers will be stored in the fridge as single plates and my sim doesn’t have to put back that group meal as leftovers every time.

One of my biggest annoyances in the game is when your sims friendship level is dropping with another sim and they call you to say they haven't heard from you in awhile, then hang up. Fair enough but when I have my sim call them back they aren't home! So my favorite mod is one that makes the caller stay on the line to build the friendship numbers back up. What I really need now is a mod that stops every f***ing sim from trying to talk to someone through the Teddy Bear! That is my biggest annoyance although I can solve it just by putting the bear facing the wall. Kids can still play with it but adults can't pick it up. Ah the marvels of Sims 2!

I love my sims talk at mealtime except it takes them forever to eat. No baby harassment is gonna be a godsend. I spend at least half my time shouting at the computer "STOP going after baby!" I HAD to download the no baby harassment mod to improve nannies, they were so terrible that there were bottles everywere, babies were dirty and couldn't even sleep without the nanny trying to feed them 😭 Also I recommend almost every mod by Simler90 on Mod the Sims, and the ones by J.M.Pescado that are classified from "very critical" to "important", especially Alfixes. Some others mods I'd like to mention: - ALL shiftables: this one is for buy mode, it let's you shift things that the unmmoded game doesn't - Smarter lights by Numenor - Rug fix by Huge Lunatic (on Mod the Sims): rugs in the unmmoded game are kinda broken, this fixes them - No bulgar relationship - Marrige Last name chooser - Age transition Teens Keep Loves - Critical Child Ghost Fix: apparently now there's a fix for that!!

I love the car you can build up from Roaring heights in TS3. I know it's a store item, but nowadays there are so many ways to get those things into the game for free and no one should be paying 30€ for the world nowadays anyway. 😅

I love Mods fix Annoyances, but I prefer when they get fixed before launch.

I recommend these two mods: 1) Baby, Toddler and Pregnancy Mods 1. This mod restores code for breastfeeding. Young Adult or Adult sim will feed newborns and gain relationship with them, but it takes long. 2. Game checks if nanny or butler should potty train a toddler. No more dirty diapers for them. 3. This mod works just fine with No Baby Harrasment. Sims will takr care of baby on their own but won't be opsessed with them. 2) Hold that newspaper and phone between actions and queue cell actions during calls I have so mamy mods (something like 300) that sometimes I forget that one mod is a mod and not part of game

I have very few mods but I definitely need that work level one! I have the one for community lot skill building. So my gyms and libraries and hobby shops are useful. I have the sleep on community lots. Mostly for those business I kinda have the sim sleep on when I don’t want to send them home. And the dress according to time mod. So after a shower they dress for bed work or everyday. (And I think the clean moving graves mod lol) bruh this game is so good 😭😂

I just found that the community is making 4ts2, which means 4 to The Sims 2, and you can download a lot of the sims 4 content (hair, objects, accesories) into your Sims 2 game. This is soooooo coooool

I'm afraid there's some kind of error on that lot. Have you turned on testingcheats to check what the error message says if there is one?

Error messages only appear if you have "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" turned on. But this looks like a typical bug caused by having some kind of Cyjon's mod connected to work and not having the Smarter EP Check. I've seen this before! The error message would probably say "Bad gosub tree number".
