Emily--good luck, and my appendicitis was much like yours. Had 4 flare ups that at the time I did not realize was my appendix, and then the 4th one sent me to the ER. The surgeon said had I waited another 2 hours or so, it would have burst--thankfully, that did not happen. One tip, if I may--they'll probably do it lathroscopically (sp?), meaning you'll have 3 1-inch incisions, and they'll sew you up tight when they're done, but for the first few days, do NOT sneeze!! I did, not thinking about it, and it was the most intense, searing abdominal pain I have ever felt! The stitches held, though, and my doctor laughed when I told her about it, as she said they figure those kinds of things can happen and stitch you up tight knowing that. Good luck, and you'll do great!

I went to the Miami boat show today. It must have been out on a sea trial, I took a picture of a empty slip at the Mercury section. I looked all over for the Invincible booth… I could find it. I had to leave around 12:30 to head back to NJ. Emily, Get well soon.

Hang in there Emily the operation isn't as invasive as it used to be, but much rather be at a boat show. Thoughts and prayers your way for a speedy recovery. And regardless wind chill does make it feel cold and combined with the cold spray, it's down right chilly. Would love to see you Guys come to NC for a boat show, if that would ever be a consideration.

Minus it being a little chilly out , looked like a great day to be on the water! Awesome boat & great video as always! Do you have any trips planned to do anymore freshwater or saltwater fishing that isn't available in Florida , those videos a while back were awesome! Also will say a prayer & hope the surgery goes smoothly! Even a common procedure is still never fun, I'm just getting back to normal life from having cervical spine surgery. Def never fun at all but if it's something needed etc once it's done with it's a sense of relief

Is this your new boat or one from the factory for the show? Also, best wishes for a smooth operation and recovery. Laparoscopic appendectomy nowadays is much less invasive than the old large slice that took a while to recover. Hope to see ya back on the water in a week or two.

My appendix burst back in 2004 right before New Years eve. Unfortunately, I had just got back from Buffalo Wild Wings and during my emergency surgery, I aspirated and died on the operating table for 3 minutes. Fortunately, I was already surrounded by doctors and nurses, so they were able to keep my blood circulating, so I didn't suffer much brain damage ...I think. Lol Don't worry though, that only happened because I ate before they gave me the anesthesia. Just don't eat before you go under.
