Chriiiist, pretty hard to watch you consistently not feed Ted for weeks on end even when he's ill and yet still get surprised when he neither improves in health and just dies. Also, pro tip, food is also a great motivator and helps with fatigue.

You can let everyone go without without food and water for 5 days in a row. As long as you give them water like that they wont die, get mad and leave or anything. It DOES NOT matter what the book says You can basically follow the pattern of food and water on Day 5, 10, 15 ect... The only people you would need to worry about are those you send out on expeditions, but even they will survive again for 5 days when they return because their time starts over

You do need the obscure items. You need to hold out on going outside for as long as you can. It's really hard to restore health after a bad trip outside, sometimes impossible. It causes the characters to become exhausted even without radiation.

Hey Jon, there's a game on Steam you might be interested in. It's called Caves of Qud, and it's a post-apocalyptic, mutated world styled after old retro-RPG's like the original Wasteland. I'm not sure how good it would be for videos, but you might seriously enjoy it on your own

Hey Jon! A lil tip for you. Someone told me that after the game teaches you that you can craft a medkit with the spray and repair the mask with the book, you can do that everytime you have the materials by either clicking them, or the desired object you want to craft. Lay the book down and click on stuff. Hope it works. I did not verify however..

You can actually unlock the dog if you follow his little quest line to the end, so there's just a nice dog in your shelter who occasionally brings you supplies.

You absolutely can win, it's just almost impossible without the right items. You were so close to winning. Try again. Other than what the radio says you need, the scout book us probably the best item. Also if you can give pancake all the things he needs for his events, I'm told he can join your shelter (I've never managed it, but I'd love to see it)

If you give Pancake the health kit, he comes and joins your family on screen (he barks if you click on him!) and fetches supplies now and again, so it's worth it to have him.

John, here's some red hot sexy game mechanic info for ya: Every five days, water and food. Someone comes in, you give just them water and food and keep them in the normal rotation. Last can of food or bottle of water? Only Ted eats and drinks. Only Ted. The actual formula for eating and drinking is every five days for water, you can go ten days before your first food but then you need food every five days and you will actually be more likely to get sick. Going out takes one day of food or water even if they come back same day, so if they are one day away from starving and you send them out they are just gone - and if they step outside for a second for an event you need to feed them next day. When they come back in you need to feed them right then. It's easy to figure out when it is safe to send folks out if you are feeding them every 5 days though. Just don't skip anyone on the cycle unless you are low food and are choosing to sacrifice them, even without worrying about commentary it is too easy to forget and kill someone.

Hey Jon! I dunno if you read these comments, and this is a bit of a shot in the dark, but there is a game called BuriedTown on mobile. I know, I know, mobile games are shit- but this actually has a good way of hiding ads, they're not irritating and you don't even have to see them if you don't want to. It's an enhanced text based game, in which you have to survive a zombie apocalypse. it is very difficult and technical. I figure you'll get a kick out of it, and even if you can't or won't do a video of it, you should check it out with your phone. It's great fun for road trips and the like. Keep up the great work, and please make more 60 Seconds videos! :D

What is up with the military tactics of evacuation during a fallout in this game? They need everyone to communicate using cards, venture out into a toxic filled environment, get rid of all their weaponry, and they don't immediately evacuate people who fully cooperate? I've never been in a nuclear Fallout, so maybe that's protocol, but it seems really backwards to me, like they want some people to die before they help out.
