I don't know what it is but it feels so nice when you have like 10~15 cheap pedals and a guy with a KZbin channel says "woah, it sounds great". It's like getting approval for buying magic beans.
@MrScrofulous3 жыл бұрын
@@LuisEduardoBraschi Yeah, but I'm not quite ready to trade my sacred cows on them just yet. I see them as more like disposable entertainment. A meal out costs as much as these toys and does not last as long. I can get a whole two bug rolls at Rick Shores at Burleigh for the price of one of these little dudes, and that's just a snack.
@andrewpattie35284 жыл бұрын
For high gain I always stack an overdrive before any fuzz/distortion. You can use OD’s volume or Gain dial to push the other pedal further. Less likely to feedback. Also noise gate after drive but before Delay/Verb.

Awesome video. I love cheap pedals! Suggestion1: set the fuzz to a lower gain and use the boost in front for 2 gain options. Suggestion 2 (my preference): first delay in the chain should have about 2 to 3 repeats, kinda fast, low mix. Then follow that with the trem. Then the tap delay, long repeats. End the chain with a verb. Anyway, great stuff as always!

Now to wait for them to come in. Keep it up! Cheers!

If it's a gate without a loop then it definitely goes before the gain. The dynamic range of the clean guitar helps the gate work better because the difference between the stuff you want and the stuff you don't want is much greater. If you put the gate after the gain then any quiet noises that you want to gate out will already have been boosted in volume. If the gate has a loop then it's a different story because you can have the detection before the gain and the gating after.

i used double side tape for some pedals with tall legs and because my board is painted wood, the velcro are from a roll of 10 thousand velcro ovals that have one roll for the backs and one roll for the hooks.. I bought it about 15 years ago and still have a few thousand left lmao. I've never used a vecro strip but i think i will one my next board. This will be my 3rd build, im putting locking roller wheels on the bottom so its easier to move and my custom designed power supply mount that will have plexi in the front for the leds to shine through.

Look up the 4 cable method for noise gates. It runs first in line through the front of the amp and also first in line through the effects loop, so you effectively have 2 gates in 1.

The Metal Affordaboard sounds great! The Azor pedals are amazing. I think the Ambient Affordaboard needs a Looper pedal. It probably doesn't need a big fuzz pedal - takes up too much space. There must be a good small pedal option. A mini Wah/Volume pedal could also be a nice addition.

I rather like Ambient Metal. Metal needs the Pπ. It's able to mid scoop or clean up mid boost with scoop positive side. But also fuzz π have loads of mods available. A noise gate can be part of a Fuzz. Like the Fuzz Factory has a gate. Pπ is the daddy up there A feedback loop with a wah on these rigs.. Something targeting a fuzz face before amp and tape delay fx loop Cuvave- chorus- Pπ- gate. Delay The Joyo 🐏 and it's variants need to be reconsidered. Lots of us are using a dirty amp. 23:50 it's like you almost did the National anthem The TwinNote stuff seems to be heavy weights in the afford a board game.
@EpicStuffMan10004 жыл бұрын
most gates in fuzz pedals aren't noise gates like you'd find in a noise gate pedal they're created by biaising one or more of the transistors so it takes a higher voltage to turn them on, which is a completely different sound and process to a normal noise gate. good shout though

Craig Lee for most analog pedals on a small pedalboard a one spot style wall wart with a daisy chain will be fine. Drives and fuzzes typically take very little electricity. When you start incorporating higher power digital pedals things can start going sideways, and you will need more power or even a power supply with isolated power.
