D1015 was built in Swindon in January 1963 and withdrawn from service in January 1977. A footnote in its history was that it hauled the return working of Churchill's funeral train in 1965.

Was a lovely day on the seafront with so much happening and so many people. Was good to see you again Bill and nice to meet you Andy. We eventually had some lunch at the Salty Dog and then on the way back along the front were lucky to see a basking seal just before Sprey Point which finished off our trip nicely
