My buddy and I were fishing big water for Lake Trout and he always said if he got a 30# it was going on his wall. I landed a 31 pounder for him and said, "There you go Paul, there's your wall hanger". He looks at me as he's releasing it and say's, "Nope. I want a 40". RIP Paul. Nick... I came back to watch again just because your joy is so palpable. This time I caught your reference to Jeremy of "River Monsters." (Yep. I'm that slow. 😂) So... Sometime, please, tell us how long it took to reel in such a fish, or give us the raw footage? I love the fact that you let us see you trip and fall. Nick I am over here in North Carolina, at 2:54am, hollering for you and your PBs. Heck yes brother!! Yank 'em up! Also, Ultralight has become my favorite way to fish in recent years. I have landed a couple dozen Blue/Channel Catfish on it. With 4lb test line no less. Keep on hustlin the fish. I am so unbelievably happy for you, Nick. Great catch!!! I used to jug fish my local lakes. Biggest I've ever caught was a 60 lb flathead. Used just a canoe and a paddle to chase down an angry monster attached to a jug. Jug fishing and limb lines seem to be the best method I know to catch big fish. Never got a monster using a rod and reel... Gratz man!!!

the best thing is there is room to go bigger !!! One day I want to see you land an over 100 lb. Kitty , a 150 lb. Gator Gar and a 400 lb. Sturgeon !!! My largest fresh water catch is a 43 .6 lb. Striper out of the Etowah River between Cartersville , Ga. and Rome , Ga while fishing for Kitties and chicken livers for bait .I never expected that !! I have also caught a 5 ft 9 in. Alligator in the St. Johns River using live bream and heavy Kitty equipment ! It was around 2 am in the morning while we were vacationing on a houseboat for a week . Everyone but me had gone to bed , so I ended up hog tying it for proof . Without it , no one would have believed me !! I'll be watching when your next P.B. is caught !!

Those were 2 massive Blue Cats caught on the 'ol Ugly Stick/ Abu Garcia combo. You should have kept one, filleted it up for a BBQ with friends. Little salt, pepper, paprika, deep fry, and some lemon squeeze. My barber was showing me monster Northern Pike him and his buddy were catching a couple springs ago. Can't reveal the location, but it is remote and the fish were over 50 inches.

Sorry for my English. Great beautiful fish. I am writing to you from Italy. There aren't many catfish here and not even very large predators. However, like you, I also love fishing near spillways and a year ago I felt just like you. I caught 3 beautiful catfish (siluro) and one was almost 50kg. They are invasive fish in our country and are very harmful to our rivers. Last week I started going back to that spot again, result, a 35kg swivel open and a catch of around 30kg. I hope to beat my record. Until the next video!

The drone reminded me of a time on a deployment, we were underway like 28days since last port call and the ship decided to have a swim call. One of the JO’s was flying his drone around to film a deployment video for the boat. Well he flew it all swim call (about an hour I think) and was auto roaming around the boat as we took off from our DIW spot. Drone got low on battery and started its “return to home” feature…. Drone hit a 180 and tried to go back a couple miles to its old gps location we were just at 🤣
