Far from quitting, I just feel like doing English right now. You have SO many videos, I couldn´t find the one where you introduced your book I bought, PERFECTING THE PRONOUNS IN SPANISH. I´ve completed McGraw-Hill´s Advanced Spanish and all grammar topics. I wasn´t going to comment on your book because it was material which I thought was too basic, HOWEVER! (and this is my entire point) YOU cleared up something that SpanishDict, McGraw-Hill and a University 2nd year grammar book did not! I won´t give it away but, it was LOLA and her naughty friend GettinLe. Yes, I changed the names to shock the innocent. In all seriousness, your clear, accurate, absolutely absent from academia discussion about DO and IO was cathartic for me. I get it now. How much did I pay for the book, like, less than lunch, right? And I got something from it I´ll keep forever!! Like from Julio but, I want this! My scores on your pruebas? 100%. Another amazon review 5-stars. Amazing work. Thank you so much. Pronto voy hacer un curso con el instituto Cervantes por mejorar mi nivel de español. Su prueba ha indicado mi nivel entre B2 y C1. Tenía dudas sobre mi nivel. Tengo confienza hablando pero debil en muchas areas de la gramatica. He preguntado a la mujer del instituto que ha hablado conmigo que fueran mis debiles, y ha mencionada el subjunctivo y los pronombres. Tengo los dos libros de Gordon en audio. Una ayuda massiva. Muchas gracias. Debo regresar a las ejercisios por que todavía hago demasiado errores, pero mucho menos. Al mismo tiempo el vocabulario me ha ayudado mucho en mis construciones, el orden de palabras etc. Gracias Gordon y Cynthia. Sois la leche.

Es posible que ya han hecho un video como este, pero ustedes deberían hacer un video de los diferencias entre español latinoamerica y lo de españa, especialmente cuando se pronuncia "s" como "th". Aparece que algunas veces lo pronuncia como "s" y otra vez "th" pero todavía no se como se aplica

Hola. Rudy. Soy Cynhia. ¡Gracias por comprar los libros! So, the most beautiful thing about the stay... Lo más bonito de la estancia... The word estancia is feminine, but we're not saying that the estancia was nice, rather the sentece says LO MÁS bonito... Which would be like 'the nicest thing/ the most beautiful thing'. Therefore, we need to match the adjective (bonito) with LO. Unless, of couse, we had said that the stay was nice, then it'd have been: La estancia fue bonita. :) Cx

Gracias por otro video interesante. Tengo una pregunta sobre hablando español en Latinoamérica (entenderé si es una pregunta que no sea adecuado, ya que este es un canal del español de España). Voy a Colombia en Octubre y me preguntaba si es mejor hablar el español que ya he aprendido en españa, con ‘vosotros’, con la pronunciación español, con palabras castellanas (por ejemplo coche en vez de carro). ¿Creéis que la gente me comprenderá? ¿Sería mejor cambiar mi español un poco para facilitar la comunicación, o tal vez afectará esto negativamente a mi aprendizaje del español europeo? ¡Muchísimas gracias como siempre!

Hola Gabe; Yo he hecho lo que tu estas al punto de hacer. Puede que la vecina de Gordon sea de Colombia, pero vive en España, asi que ya habra aprendido de la jerga, gramatica etc de España. Cuando fui a Colombia, durante algunas semanas mantuve mi acento Español (mega fuerte como aprendi en Madrid, con toda la jerga, etc.) No pasaba dificil, pero mi acento resaltaba bastante. Muchas personas me hacian burla (de manera cariñosa, cabe decir); ademas muchas personas pensaron que era de España, algo que me gustaba. En general, los colombianos encuentran desagradable al acento Español por como pronuncian las palabras asi como Madrith, Thervetha, etc, y te haran algo de burla hasta que lo dejes de hacer. En cuanto a terminos, vocabulario, y jerga, la mayoria de Colombianos no van a entenderte cuando usas un termino que solo se usa en España y vas a tener muchos momentos de confusion. Hay muy poco consumo de medios españoles en LatinoAmerica en general, por lo tanto no van a entenderte si andas por ahi diciendo cosas como 'oye tio, que guay' o 'me mola bastante'. Entienden cosas comunes como 'ostias', pero poco mas. Especialmente pensando en el tema del uso de vosotros; el latino tipico de cualquier pais no sabe usar vosotros, y una gran porcion de aquellos ni sabe que significa, en mi experiencia. Por eso, deberias de dejar de usarlo si quieres ser entendido. Por cierto, la gente que conoces van a decirte muchas cosas lindas y darte muchos cumplidos por tu español super avanzado, pero como siempre ha sido y siempre sera, vas a sentirte mas en casa si te adaptas al lugar donde estas. (Perdon falta de acentos/tildes)

También espero visitar Perú (y quizás Chile), así que no quiero adquirir demasiadas palabras y frases específicas de Colombia, pero como has dicho, me sentiré más a gusto cuando yo utilice el lenguaje de la calle.
