The Atelier Pale and rich Golds both work very well too. Changing the viscosity (adding more paint to the mix can be useful also.I recently began combining them with the Pebeo iridescent Gold. Thanks for the tests, for the longest time it was a guessing game I am certain everyone watching appreciated seeing this very much.

This was one of the coolest, most shocking and useful experiments I’ve ever seen! Thank you so much for doing this and sharing. I’m honestly shocked about the Amsterdam Gold! I figured it would have worked the best but it’s good to know that Golden wasn’t the only one that worked, since it’s so expensive. I have only tried a few paintings in the acrylic pouring over the past two years, I am still new at this and the paints are so expensive here. If I want a lot of shimmer I think I would go with the Deco art and then if I wanted more lacing and sales I would use heavier amounts of the pebeo and the Rust-Oleum a little less with the Rust-Oleum what do you think

Yes, that would work! The DecoArt is so light that sometimes it all rises to the top and covers up the other colors so you have to be a little careful not to use too much. Experimenting is needed!

It's possible but for many of us, it's too expensive to be practical.

What did you mix the paints with, Lisa? Just water, water and floetrol,? Just curious to know what effect that would have as I onlyy have amsterdam paints. Have you tried adding alcohol ink to any of the paints?

No water, just Floetrol. Haven't tried mixing alcohol inks in with the acrylics. Yet! Lol!

Yeah I was really surprised with the papio I think if I use a heavier application then maybe it would stay but if I use a swipe too much then it sinks and all the other sink but the one didn't produce any sales but it stayed on the top tell me which one you think is the best one for getting sales and swiping with that actually might show up

I think you will get different results if you try Amsterdam oxide black as your base...I don't like the soft body artist loft 😊

I wonder if most of these did not work because they are semi-translucent paints. Because Amsterdam works fine on their paints that are opaque. Would love to see this experiment with all opaque paints. I think the result may be different. Is that rustoleum an opaque paint? Just curious because it seemed to work the best.

Do you mean opaque gold acrylic paints? I think they're all (including the Rustoleum) semi transparent though they don't necessarily have the opacity listed on the label. The Amsterdam I have does have a label showing it as semi-transparent. Strange stuff!

Man I don’t like messing with cell activator!! I have a few recipes that work, a few paints it works with and that’s it!! Lol. How good do you find that decanted Australian floetrol to work? I haven’t tried it Interesting results tho. I thought the Amsterdam would work the best
