673 HP FENDT 1167 Vario MT Tractor Disk Ripping

Looking back and revisiting this video made me realize something. I find it hilarious that such a beautifuly designed tractor looks wise, will hardly be seen by anyone unless you live and work on the farm that owns and operates it. Its one thing to drive a Porsche or Aston Martin where people can see and appreciate its beauty and design, but I would argue this tractor is also a thing of beauty and it's amusing to think no one will be able to appreciate this beauty.

I think Mike doesn’t like the way two tracks handle the soft ground around the slews. Apparently they go off course when one side hits the soft stuff. Those tracks look so wide though and it’s so heavy, that it might not be a problem. I would love to see BTP visit Mike’s farm.

@@michaelstark703 Nope its all about the turning. When you pull heavy these 2 tracks just dont turn. They only spun the other track. When soft ground its the same it goes here and there, and hills too. This is the reason why 4 track beats these hands down on his operation. On level dry ground it pulls as good and can have the weight enough. His farm just aint all level.

We run 3 2015 fendt 930s. Pulling various implements such as a sunflower 5135 field cultivator. Landoll 2510 in row ripper. And in the summer they mow hay with triple mowers

1167 seems to pull that ripper pretty well. wil-rich lists the 11shank version with requirement of 450-550hp while the 13 shank is listed as 500hp+ (but since the 11shank need 550, the 13 probably need more the 550) and 14" is the deepest the tool can go so, that would mean this 1167 puts AT LEAST 550hp down, which is really impressive cause that would mean that it in theory can outpull a 620 case quadtrac (and with that also the jd 620)

IMPRESSIVE, indeed! There wasn't any 'lugging' the engine down - just steady getting after the task. That MAN engine 'line' is changing high end equipment performance - the Claas Jaguar 990 TT is another good example. I've been wondering when Claas will introduce this MAN engine in the Xerion line...maybe a 6000?! Anyhoo...any idea what the price is on this Fendt? Another great video - thank you!

On our farm we have a 724 and 828 Fendt and they are working with 6 and 7 furrow Lemken plows and 4m Kockerling Quadro ripper and 6m Kockerling Rebell disc.

@@suachecat for the displacement of the C18 engine (18.1L), 2850Nm max torque is really really really weak thats not a good torque, at all.. even the 15.2L MAN with LESS stroke has more torque, heck even a qaudtrac 620 has more torque and thats only 12.9L for the fysical size of the engine, a C18 isnt impressive in any way, by a long shot.. (dont get me wrong, im not saying their bad, just nowhere near as impressive as people make it out to be) at the time it wasnt bad, but it doesnt come close to touching more modern engines. P.S. 'stroke' isnt the measure for torque, yes it influences it but it isnt THE measure to go by.. but RPM / displacement / bore all have a influence in total torque

@@Matt___B No, you have any idea of engines. The C18 is heavier, and have more steel to support heavy torques. The C18 procuce more than 3000Nm peak or 2500Nm continuous torque. The C18 have more cranckshaft radius and therefore procuces more torque. You study a little of trigonometry and physics and then you talk. Im hevy engine technician, I work with Wartsila, Sulzer, Mitsubisi, Caterpillar Mak, Man B&W, EMD in ships mining equipent... You are not going to teach me how an engine works. The Man engine is light engine designed for logistic and manufactured ,and C18 is capable to produce more torque in longer time.

It's easier for the GPS to maintain a straight line if the ground on either side of it's working path is the same. So untilled on both side and then tilled on both side when they go back through the field. Hopefully that makes sense

It speeds up tillage. The tractor using GPS makes perfect 26ft passes. It can skip 26ft make a wider turn reducing wear and tear on the tracks and turn faster on a wider loop. Then it just makes the same wide passes on the return. It saves time.

Challenger tractors are used all the time here in the Dakota’s. You just use them differently you put the cart before the drill for turning around sloughs. and you go up the hill not across the hill.

Leave it Fendt to come out of the gate hitting the turf with 673 HP. Talk about leading the way. Nobody will ever be able to say you can’t hear it coming, very loud. I looked at Case, they have the largest horsepower tractor in production. I guess it’s not used in America. It’s listed as, Case IH Steiger/Quadtrac 620 is the world's most powerful tractor at an incredible 692 hp.

The Case 620 has only 620 rated hp, peak hp can go up to 682 hp. The Fendt has 673 rated hp, it can easily peak well over 700 hp,

Ok,operating a 10 metre Kongskilde stubharve/chiselplow with 40 chisels made of spring steel themselves,so no additional springs and each chisel with 310 mm (1 foot?) wing tip,so full cut first time and pulled by a MF 9240 with Cummins 8,3 litre eng. 250 hp s.,usually depth is 15 - 20 cm s and this implement was selfbuilt for this tractor with a steel wire going forward to a bar in front on the 3 point. from each side of the harrow (ch.pl.),the 400 kilo ballast in front is a little on the low side as can be difficult to steer if old tracks in dirt,usually goes in gear 9 out of 18 available,but can go faster if want and soilcategory is 6 to 7 with much clay on hillsides and tops,only use 2 wheel drive and 900 mm rear tires.The Fendt looks strong with no black smoke,so guess implement is on small side,but have no idea if it is a mismatch.Thank you for vid.,stay on safe side.

Wow the 9240 is a rare Massey. It was built in Coldwater, OH. It is the same tractor as an AGCO WHITE 6215 and AGCO Allis 9815. I would like to film a 9240 some day to feature its unique history.

@@bigtractorpower Yes Sir,its a bit of a strange tractormodel because it has different names such as Same 265,Lamborghini 265, Deutz Agrostar 8,31 with same cab but their own edgy hood or bonnet,also Allis name was involved,think Deutz owned the name for a while,plus allready mentioned names,also think its Funk gearbox was later sold to J.D.,but not 100 % sure.Guess I will get to know if I some day go there and ask for a MF g.box spare part,and they ask me if I didnt notice gone to a John D.dealer..Stay healthy.

Krause makes a 25 shank landsaver coulter chisel (19 plus shank landsaver sand more landoll tillage are on my wishlist to see.) In some of the heavy Indiana clay of my area I’d bet money that a 25 or maybe even a 23 shank would stop a 620 quad dead at the right depth
