Is it that the verbs don’t have me- or be- before them? I don’t know, but I learned a lot of verbs from this lesson
@brazenserpent74 жыл бұрын
rapmantheoneman Ber- is the prefix, not "be." However, when there is an initial "r" in a verb base, then the "r" in the "ber-" prefix will be lost. This also happens in sound combinations of CerC (where C represents any consonant). - Taken from Indonesian Reference Grammar ~ By James N. Sneddon. The same phenomenon can be seen in words that describe an individual who carries out an action. For example, "pekerja, pedagang, and peziarah" reflect the dropped "r,." Hopefully, this knowledge will be helpful as you journey deeper into the realm of Indonesian grammar. Cheers!
