I picked up a 2000 F350 v10 a few months ago and I am beyond pleased with it. Thanks for the content.

I have a 2019 E450 with the two valve Triton V10 with a 6 speed transmission in a Jayco 24 foot class C RV. I think it's was rated about 350 HP. I installed an UPFORD Ulta RV Tuner, they advertised a 45 HP increase, with upgraded transmission shift mapping a couple of years ago. I am very happy with the tuner, especially when it comes to climbing hills. Pulls strong in 6th and 5th gears without down shifting so much now.

Nice video. Those ford v10’s are some workhorse’s. I’ve had two F450’s both had over 450,000 miles when I got rid of them and neither had an easy life. Also, one engine that never got enough respect was the the dodge V10 in their trucks. I never owned one, but I had a buddy who had one with I think a 5sp, the low end torque on those V10’s was diesel like, really wish dodge could have ran those longer in their trucks.

I have a 2010 f350 v10 which I really like. I did have a 96 ram 3500 auto with the v10 and it as great too. I've had diesels and you hit the nail on the head. I always thought that 8.0 v10 was as close to a diesel as a gasser could get. Towed a full size skidsteer with it and it still never went over 2500 rpm. If it had a better auto transmission like more modern trucks (or the 6 sped manual) it'd have been really good and probably would get the same mpg as my triton v10. Just simple, reliable workhorses that won't break the bank when they need service.

@@jfdb59dodge v10 parts are hard to come by. A 2003 ram 2500 v10 upper radiator hose is discontinued at all parts stores. 😢

Great points, the 7.3 Is definitely a beast, but only time will tell if it has the reliability of the V-10. I always thought it was strange how similar the V-10 & the 5.4 are, yet the 5.4 can't take near the abuse that the V-10 can handle. I always wondered why, especially since the V-10 has a split pin crank which theoretically it shouldn't be as strong.

I just got my '03 F250 V10 last year...at this rate I'll have a '23 7.3 in another 20 years! :) The V10 is a workhorse no doubt. Good reviews / real world content on your channel!

6.8 Triton F350 dually..... ex owner told me he pulled a 45' triple axle from point to point for someone one time.... he said, he could feel it but it did it!!! I'm just using it to pull a 16' trailer and tractor now... it's a beast and at 6MPG a hungry one!!

7.5 (460) is the best engine I’ve ever had

I agree the 460 and the 454 were definitely some of the best!

What year 7.3 do you have? Any issues?
@automotiveinquiries9673 Жыл бұрын
My 7.3 is excellent in my truck is awesome and the v10 not as powerful moved our 34 class a like a charm so the 7.3 will be excellent. I have had no issues, I have tons of people that have 50k plus no issues, I have a 22, any of the early issues were very low rate like 1 in 500 and that was 20 and 21....but it's not likely at all.
