I don't know about other countries, but Norway at least had not only left vs right (or rather workers or bourgeoisie) football leagues and FA, but all sports clubs (no matter if it was wrestling, boxing, football, whatever) organized into one of two rivalling national federations of sport. There were "The Norwegian Confederation of Sports" and "Workers Federation of Sports" until German occupation of Norway, where their cooperation in resistance to the Nazis paved the way to one single organization after the war.

You have left out SV Austria Salzburg. That was the original name of Salzburg's major football club, until they have been bought by Red Bull in 2005 and thus have been completely rebranded, including their name, their logo and their colours. While most local fans are pleased by the constant success their city's major club has been enjoying domestically, and being represented in European competitions every year, a group of more traditional fans were displeased with the re-branding and have since founded a football club, SV Austria Salzburg, which is currently playing 3rd tier football in Austria. Even though SV Austria Salzburg have reinstated the original club's name, logo and colours, they are on paper a football club that has been founded in 2006, while FC Red Bull Salzburg is the club that officially carries the "original" SV Austria Salzburg's legacy.

Flamengo football emerged from an internal dispute within Fluminense. Some disaffected players left Fluminense and created a football team at Flamengo club that before only disputed rowing championships (very popular at the beginning of the 20th century in Rio). Regarding the curiosity about the name of Cruzeiro, Palmeiras, which has just won the Libertadores Cup, was also called Palestra Italia and had to change the name.

What about Clapton Community FC as a breakaway of Clapton FC over the clubs "chairman" Vince McBean raising prices and preventing any new members from joining the club, although they were meant to be a members run club. Since the split in 2018 Clapton Community FC have taken ownership of the Old spotted dog ground from Vince McBean, and despite being 2 levels below Clapton FC in the pyramid. CCFC get considerably higher crowds than CFC. Including 1,200 for the game that won them promotion from level 12-11, and just this past Sunday CCFC took over 400 fans to see their women's team knock out 3rd tier Hounslow Women's FC to become the first 7th tier women's club to make the 3rd round of the women's FA cup. I have watched a couple of your videos on Utube and found them very interesting...!! As an old school CPFC fan, I am very happy that you reported that our rivalry with BHAFC is actually a rivalry and not a derby, as the main stream media and football pundits continue to confirm that this game is a derby all the time. The only fact I would question is saying the game in '74 was the start of the rivalry, actually it was the year before '73 when we played them in a friendly and a pub full of our fans was attacked before the game and tear gas was thrown into the pub. The following year in '74 between 8k to 10k Palace fans travelled down to the Goldstone ground (I went to this game), the violence at this game and the incident from the year before in my opinion started the rivalry. There have been many incidents off the pitch between the fans over the years that have fuelled the hatred between the fans, also particular matches over the years have added to the rivalry, as you correctly state. For a lot of the old school CPFC fans that I have spoken with, BHAFC are our biggest and most hated rival, MFC and our CAFC are our local SE London derbies and then when playing other clubs in the London area are considered a derby.

Can we have a video about how money is destroying football?
@garethlynn46573 жыл бұрын
Please make a video on the demise of Bangor City. My farther hails from Bangor, so I have always kept a close look on their results. They seem to be terribly run and I have been unable to find any decent information on what on earth is happening at the club. Within the last few years the club announced a partnership with Inter Milan and the majority of their players are Argentinian or Italian. They were recently managed by former Barnsley legend and Argentina U-20 captain Hugo Colace. Yet, in spite of all this, they cannot pay their players. What on earth is happening?

I love that reference at the end since iirc it was a direct reference to left wing groups in the UK! Also a socialist group in settler colonial Israel does seem rather ironic...
