7 Cool Design Ideas for Hand-Painted Clothes / If you don't know what to paint....

Wow ! Was not expecting this. Dark and deep. My ideas if you don’t know what to design; it depends if it is for you or someone else. Me personally it would be something about my hobby which is a flower gardener. So I would do some of my favorite flowers in a 4 season interest( spring, summer, fall and winter flowers) Spring:daffodils, tulips, irises and muscari. Summer: larkspur, delphiniums, Salvia and hydrangeas. Fall: Mums, sunflowers, daisies and Lillies Winter: poinsettia, hellebores, Christmas roses and snowdrops. My childhood friend since 76 …she’s a gypsy hippie! I would do mushrooms, pot leaves, fairies, pink roses and tie in a compass and a map because she travels more than anyone I know! I am a wall mural artist and my husband is a retired auto body/ painter. So I have experimented with so many products, chemicals and he taught me how to pin stripe and use a detail airbrush, templates. Seriously I love painting everything…my couches, mailbox, garden tools and I turn my husbands work shop into a medieval castle…2 huge shop doors and a regular size shop door- I painted them copper and painted faux iron bars..I think I painted probably over 2,000 faux rivets between the 3 doors and went throughout the shop to tie everything together; it’s been a 7 year project and I’ll be asleep and wake up with another idea and I’m back out in the shop painting! Wauw i love your skills. I paint on fabric for a while now but nevzr big projects more like on mouthmasks and stuf but a recently made a big piece on a denim jacket and i have a leather jacket to paint so i had the idea this morning to paint a phoenix on it. Coincidence that i watch your video and it came on the video to paint a phoenix.

I came here because I am not an artist in any way shape or form. Lol but I found a pair of denim overalls, and started to paint big fat flowers but the fabric paint I used was very stiff. I will take your advice and water it down to the right consistency. Thanks gurlie!

I heard that after painting the denim, we’re supposed to press it with iron if not a heat press. Now I don’t have a heat press so I’ll be using the iron mostly. Do I directly press the denim or how do I press it ?
