Do you ever have problems with things deteriorating once in resin? I’ve thought of doing a few but wasn’t sure how they would last long term?
@resinAce5 жыл бұрын
@Moriah Nash Anything containing moisture will deteriorate over time. For example: fresh flowers, candy, fruit (even dried fruit still contains some moisture). Anything completely dry should last very well, as resin is a very effective encapsulant.

This is awesome! I didn't know that those dies would cut aluminum. Time to break out my scrapbooking supplies for more uses! Can I just give a quick tip? Turn your die cutting mat over each time you use it. It won't bow like it is of you do. You can your it now and use it until it flattens then just turn it every time after that.
@resinAce5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip 😊👍 Yes they cut thin aluminium like soda cans. They also leave a nice finish on the edge, so the pieces aren't sharp and take on a more three-dimensional appearance 😎♠

I've noticed in a lot of your videos that sometimes you use UV resin instead of epoxy. In what cases is one preferable to the other?

Hi 😊 I tend to use UV resin as an adhesive, and when I need to cure it instantly. There's no reason why you couldn't use it for making the cabochons in this video, but where I live UV resin is £82.50 per Kg, while my epoxy resin is only £25 per Kg, so UV is an expensive alternative. 😎♠
